Chapter 61 - 59 Mr Chairman

I was usually good with unexpected encounters. Finding excuses to divert the attention from myself always came easily to me. Of course, that required me speaking up for myself, and in a situation like this where any form of action from me was out of the question, I could only keep my wobbling legs from collapsing and quietly hope for a miracle.

My sister's hurried footsteps were what interrupted my gaze, which I was grateful for. Her hair danced in the wind as she waved her hands, trying to get our attention.

"Baba!" She cried out with what sounded like her last breath. She hunched over a little as she reached our father's side, hanging on to his arm for support.

"I'm sorry. I wouldn't have brought it out if I knew you had company." She rushed out, her panic evident on her face. "It's my fault, Baba." She drawled her words as she pulled the saddest puppy eyes.

Our father grunted his disappointment, looking straight ahead.
