Ruby leaned back on the desk, her eyes locked onto Max's with a fire that was quickly becoming more real than fake. She knew Seron was still there, a shadow in the doorway, and she wanted to burn him with the truth of what he had lost.
"You didn't let me sleep at all last night," Ruby purred, her voice loud enough to carry into the hall.
Max caught on instantly, his hands sliding up her thighs to anchor her against him. "Don't count on any sleep tonight either," he growled.
"Aww," she teased, trailing a finger down his tie. "It was just so good. Nothing like I've ever had before. I'm still... sore."
Max leaned in, his lips inches from hers. "I could remind you exactly how I did it. Right here, right now."
"Really? How?" Ruby challenged, her breath hitching.
