As Ren continues sobbing against Yubashi, the ground beneath them suddenly shakes, causing the slimes to spiral out of control as some rush under Yubashi's body, carrying him into the cave as Ren backed off, trying to balance herself against the rumbling of the ground.
"W-what is happening?"
One of the slimes stretched a part of its body at her arm, wrapping it around her arm as it hurried towards the cave. Ren struggled to keep balance as the slime lured her deeper into the cave until they come across a wide opening in the middle of the empty space inside the cave inhabited by a couple of rocks and boulders.
Some slimes help each other move a large boulder as they bring it towards the entrance, closing it shut as some spit their slime around the boulder, creating a tight seal to make it harder to move it away.
The slime grabbing Ren's hand lets go as she approaches the mysterious hole in the middle of the cave, peeping inside of it, but all she could see is darkness.
The slimes that lingering under Yubashi's body throw him in, causing Ren to reach out in panic. "Why did you that!?" She gives the slimes a stern look, eyes widened for a sec before it gets replaced by a deep breath
"Why did you do that? I thought you were....
Before Ren could ask again the slime that was caged slammed against her back, causing her to lose balance and fall into the opening of the cave, her soft screams echoing as she continues falling deeper. A flash of blue lighting shines below her as she continues falling until a giant blob of slime breaks her fall.
"Come closer...."
A warm soft voice calls to her as she recollects herself as she gets off to her feet. She nervously walks through the long hallway of rocks, some mushrooms across the hallway emitting a blue light. She reaches an opening which reveals a wide room occupied by long strands of hair made of slime resting on the ground as some slimes lean against it.
"I suppose he is one of you i believe?"
The soft voice returns under the long strands of slime hair as hands emerge between the strands, bringing a shiver through Ren's spine. The hands move the strands of hair away from the sides, revealing a soft skinned woman, her royal blue eyes shining brightly as some strands of slime hair at the back wrap against something as they bring it to the front, revealing Yubashi's unconscious body.
"Yubashi!"
Ren to rush to her but some slimes block her path as some strands of slime hair completely wrap around his body. "There is no need for that. I assume he is the one who caused the earlier earthquake and seems like it took a lot out of him. Why not stop him?"
"I-i didn't know how. It was all sudden and unexpected.
Ren replied nervously as a shiver went down her spine. She couldn't bare to figure out just what the mysterious slime figure was going to do with Yubashi.
"Didn't know hmm? Typical of humans, they do one thing next and act as if they no intention of doing it. But you don't seem like the person to do so right dear?"
She gives Ren a warm smile as she examines Yubashi, which startles her for a sec.
" Do you atleast have an idea of what could have caused the condition she is in.
"Well...he did mention something about electricity, but what are you going to do to him?
Ren became nervous as she taught of the reasons of what she might to him. Absorb all his mana? Take control over him? The thoughts made her shiver and the worst part was that she couldn't defend him as she forgot her staff at Lumien city, and she used up her mark magic and would take long before it is usable again.
The mysterious slime figure took notice of her and gave her a grin.
"Dont worry too much about it dear, your boyfriend is ok in my hands and the electricity you mentioned might be the cause of his condition. I observed that his heart rate was alarmingly irregular.
"I-i see.....
Ren gives a sigh of relief as she heard her but within a few seconds her eyes widened when she heard the words 'your boyfriend' as a huge blush appears on her face.
"B-boyfriend...n-no he-he's just a friend a care a lot about...t-that's it.
Ren shook her head furiously, clearly not taking the misunderstanding well.
"Friend you care a lot abut you say? Well from my understanding isn't a boyfriend a male companion you care a lot about more than others, give your whole life to, protect no matter what?
"Y-yes...i-i mean no...i just...gah lets just not talk about it now ok.
Ren hid her face on her hands as she continues shaking her head furiously.
"Heh, your right, the friend you care a lot about is what we should focus on. So my guess to the reason why his heart is beating aggressively now is that his heart is pumping as much blood as possible in a very short amount of time to control the overwhelming flow of electric impulses around his entire body. Obvious his heart is not capable of doing this forever and if it stops pumping blood at this rate, well you wouldn't wanna know..."
"But worry not dear, i believe i have an alternative that could disrupt the flow of electric impulses around his body.
The strands of slime hair suddenly let go of Yubashi's body, leaving stains of slime around his body as they sink into it like a sponge soaking up water.
"I managed to barely bring his heart beat back to normal.
Ren approached him eagerly, placing her head on his chest as the strands of slime hair slightly move away. Her eyes widen in disbelief as he hears his heart beating at an almost regular rate.
"Y-you actually did it....,"
