Chapter 2 – The Boss's Eyes
The black car stopped in front of a mansion too quiet for its size. Guards with cold eyes opened the door, dragging Qiao Xueran out by the wrists. She let her head loll to the side, her lips curved in that dull, foolish smile she had worn for years.
Inside, the air was perfumed with sandalwood and smoke. At the center of the hall sat Han Zixuan — sharp suit, sharper eyes. His fingers traced the edge of a ceremonial dagger, but his gaze was fixed on her.
"This is the girl?" his voice was low, amused.
Her aunt bowed so deeply her forehead nearly touched the marble.
"Yes, Boss Han. My niece. She's… simple, but quiet. Perfect for one night."
Qiao Xueran didn't look at him. She stared at the ground, swaying slightly, humming an off-key tune like a child. She knew how she appeared: harmless. Disposable.
But when Han Zixuan's eyes narrowed, she felt it — he wasn't the type to be fooled easily.
From the staircase, soft footsteps approached.Xun Lanyue.Her cousin descended gracefully, a pale blue dress flowing like water. She didn't look at Xueran. Her eyes were fixed on Han Zixuan — bright, burning, hungry.
"Boss Han," she said softly, ignoring everyone else. "You shouldn't waste your time on… her."
Her lips curled faintly as her gaze flicked to Xueran.
"She's not even worth a night."
Xueran lowered her head further, hiding the flicker in her eyes.Perfect. Lanyue's jealousy was exactly what she wanted.
Because if Han Zixuan was Lanyue's obsession… then he was Xueran's perfect weapon.
