Kael had no intention of binding the adult male Griffin to a Knight's Exclusive Contract. Instead, he utilized a Magic Contract—an Equality Scroll crafted by the Witch from Wyvern skin. While Slave Contracts existed, Kael didn't want a mindless drone; he wanted a combat partner with its tactical AI intact.

Signing the parchment was a bureaucratic necessity. Without it, the Adventurers Guild wouldn't recognize his ownership, and the active bounty on the "Man-Eating Beast of the Misty Forest" would remain a target for every greedy hunter in the kingdom.

When Kael brought the Griffin into the town for registration, the stir was seismic. The massive crowd made the beast hiss, its talons clicking against the cobblestones. By the time the ink was dry, Kael had a new title etched into the guild's records: Griffin Knight.

In the capital, the news caused a shift in the political landscape. Kael was already ranked alongside the legendary Sword Maiden, the arbiter of justice in the west. While the Maiden was favored for her high-level Swamp Dragon apostle, Kael's conquest of a Griffin pulled the scales of power back to a dead even. To the royals, Kael was a secular pillar; to the commoners, he was a living myth.

As Kael prepared to leave the guild with the Witch and the Young Lady, a familiar, armored silhouette blocked the sunlight at the entrance.

"Goblin Slayer?"

The Silver-ranked Adventurer stood in his signature battered plate, face hidden behind a grim, slotted helm. He was the guild's most controversial high-tier member—a man who reached the third rank solely by exterminating Goblins. To many, he was a specialist; to others, a "bottom-tier" Silver who lacked the torque for true frontal combat.

Behind him were the four rookies Kael had warned earlier. They looked like a party that had just returned from a meat-grinder. The reckless swordsman was missing his right arm, his longsword gone. The Mage's robes were soaked in copper-smelling blood, her eyes hollowed by trauma. The Brawler was physically intact but spiritually zeroed—a "broken" unit.

They were here to cancel their Adventurer status. Kael's warning had prompted them to spend a few extra hours on prep, which was the only reason Goblin Slayer had found them before the Goblins finished the job.

"Northland Knight," Goblin Slayer grunted, his voice a low vibration within his helm.

"Is there another commission?"

"Yes," Kael replied, slipping into professional mode. "A tribe in the Snow Forest followed an Ogre to raid a caravan. The size of the nest is expanding beyond safe thresholds. Patch it."

"Understood. Leave it to me."

As they parted, the guild's receptionist—the most popular girl in the building—gave Goblin Slayer a look of genuine affection, causing a dozen nearby adventurers to grind their teeth in envy. Kael ignored the drama and mounted his Griffin, heading back to the lair.

The hatching came sooner than expected.

"Chirp, chirp~"

A mucus-covered ball of fluff broke through the shell, looking more like an oversized chick than a legendary predator. Kael fed it strips of high-protein horse meat he'd prepared. Because he'd initiated the Knight's Contract during the final stages of incubation, the life-feedback loop made the hatchling sturdier and more intelligent than a wild specimen.

The little Griffin instinctively imprinted on Kael, completely ignoring its biological father. In seven days, the "hatchling" was as large as a hound, gliding through the castle halls and hunting the local livestock.

Kael spent his days in a cycle of "compensation and calibration." He paid the farmers in heavy silver for their dead sheep and spent hours training the fledgling to restrain its predatory "edge" without breaking its spirit. The contract feedback was so potent that the little Griffin began ascending toward a Legendary Lifeform status months ahead of schedule.

But Kael's energy was a finite resource. The more time he spent "syncing" with the Griffin, the less mana he had for the Witch and the Young Lady.

One morning, Kael woke up in the Witch's bed to the sound of rhythmic, violent pounding on the front door. The Young Lady had tracked him down.

"I really need to research soundproofing magic," the Witch groaned, her fair skin glowing against the silk sheets as she stretched like a lazy cat.

Kael dressed, ignoring her "mana-replenishment" seduction. He pushed open the door to find the Young Lady fuming, her face turning a vivid red as she spotted the "strawberries" on Kael's neck.

"Isn't this Goblin Slayer?" Kael noted, looking past the girl.

Goblin Slayer was there, but he wasn't alone. Behind him stood an Elf Archer, a Dwarf Warlock, and a Lizardman Priest. It was a high-spec multicultural team.

"Are you sure we have the right man?" the Elf Archer whispered, her gaze scanning Kael's languid, post-pleasure appearance with disdain. "Is this the strongest Knight in the kingdom?"

"Shh," the Dwarf interrupted. "This is his territory. Even if he looks like a playboy, he's the one who zeroed the Wyvern."
