Two months had passed since the conversation between Law and Wolf.
Two months that changed many things.
After that night, Wolf began paying even more attention to Law. He no longer treated him as just a child or a student — now he saw a future captain in him. A man who would one day shake the world.
Every morning began the same way: training.
Wolf shared everything he knew. He told Law about the sea, currents, storms, and stars. He taught him how to read the sky, how to feel the wind on his skin, how to understand the ocean rather than simply look at a map. He even tried to teach navigation to Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo… but gave up after the very first lesson.
Shachi fell asleep over the map.
Penguin mixed up north and south.
And Bepo… honestly tried his best, but burst into tears when Wolf raised his voice.
From that day on, Wolf taught only Law.
Right now, Law was training outside the house. A sword was in his hands, sweat covered his body, and his breathing was uneven. He made a sharp thrust, then another — and finally stopped, clenching his teeth.
His thoughts drifted elsewhere.
After that conversation, Wolf-san started teaching me swordsmanship and firearms…
He also gave me advice on how to properly use the power of the Ope Ope no Mi.
Firearms came to Law surprisingly easily. Thanks to his precise calculations, focus, and the "targets" he could perceive, shooting felt almost surgical. When he told Wolf about it, the old man was genuinely shocked.
— Since when can the Operation Fruit be used like this with weapons… Wolf muttered quietly.
Law even managed to coat bullets with electricity. Unlike with his sword, however, he needed ROOM to maintain the coating. With a blade, electricity obeyed his will naturally.
But the most dangerous technique he developed was "Scalpel."
Green energy gathered around his hand, taking the shape of a blade. With a single motion, he could cut anything. The technique was incredibly useful and could even replace a sword… but the price was high.
It consumed too much stamina.
Far too much.
That was why Law kept it as his final trump card.
— Damn it… — he exhaled quietly, lowering his sword.
That was when he noticed Shachi and Penguin approaching him.
After that incident, Law never spoke to them the way he used to. No jokes. No tolerance. No smiles.
When they reached him, Shachi stepped forward.
— Law… — his voice trembled. — I know you're still angry at us. Please… forgive us. We'll never do anything like that again. We'll listen to you. Please.
Penguin silently nodded.
Then, without warning, both of them dropped to their knees.
— We're sorry… — they said almost at the same time.
Law slowly turned toward them. His gaze was cold, nearly empty.
— You still don't understand, — he said quietly, which somehow made it even more terrifying. — You didn't just ignore my words.
He took a step forward.
— Because of you, Wolf-san almost died.
Shachi and Penguin flinched.
— Aside from Bepo… — Law continued. — I consider Wolf-san a member of my family. And you almost killed him.
His voice grew colder.
— You're lucky that I made it in time.
If I hadn't… — Law slowly tightened his grip on the sword's hilt. — I would have made Hell look like paradise.
Shachi and Penguin turned pale.
For a moment, they truly believed they might die.
From a distance, Bepo watched silently. He wanted to run over, to say something… but when he saw the expression on Law's face, he froze in place.
A heavy silence filled the air.
— Get up, — Law finally said. — And prove it with your actions, not your words.
He turned away and picked up his sword once more.
The training continued.
And with it, Trafalgar D. Water Law continued to grow — the future captain whom the world would one day fear.
