Austin asked about how much Evan has saved
Evan replied: "don't worry I have more than 200 credits in my savings"
Thinking of the 10000 credit requirement and the 200 credits in Evan's savings, Austin was speechless and thought about reconsidering about his help to Evan.
Evan: "No going Back"
Austin could only go with his fate and help hi friend. Just as they reached the bank. Austin saw a familiar figure outside. The figure also seeing Austin Walked toward him. The newcomer was not alone he was accompanied by 2 other males. Thinking of the close conversation they were definitely friends of the newcomer.
The newcomer was Chris an old enemy of Austin and Evan. As Chris got close a dangerous glint could be seen in his eyes.
Chris Asked: "What are the 2 beggars doing outside the Bank, don't tell me you are here to ask for loan.
His friends accompanied him in his games "yes, from their looks they must be here for the loans"
Austin Answered: "it's none of your business Chris, don't get involved"
"How can I not Get involved when I see you 2 dogs"
Chris was sure that today he will mess with both Austin and Evan as they all were part of the same social circle with Austin the first to make fun of him and Evan always supporting Austin
Chris asked: "Do you dogs have the guts to fight us"
Austin: "I can fight you on any day of the month"
Evan: "don't overestimate ourselves, we are outnumbered and Chris don't seem to be in the mood to joke"
Austin: "How can I back away from challenge today I will show this Chris hell just like yesterday"
Now the situation became clear to Evan, most likely Austin beat Chris yesterday and Chris is not missing his chance to take revenge.
Their conversation did not go unnoticed by Chris. And as soon as he heard Austin Mentioning yesterday fight he became visibly angrier.
"you took me by surprise yesterday if you have the guts why not try me today"
Evan Answered: "Why won't we have the guts"
Knowing that Chris was serious and his friend Austin behind the whole matter, Evan could not back down and hence he agreed
"Then let's go a nearby alley I know to sort this out, of course you don't want the guards of the bank to notice right" Chris proposed looking at the tier 2 guards outside the bank
This was after all one of the most important place of the city and hence clearly well-guarded. There were several tier 2 placed outside the bank. There was also a tear 3 awakened placed in the bank and no one new how much power the bank actually hid.
Leaving no chances of humiliating Chris Austin replied "only a dog would know about the Alley if you are so insistent on getting beaten up, Be my Guest." After the Brief conversation both Austin and Evan followed after Chris.
once they reached the Alley both Austin and Evan where instantly surrounded by Chris and his goons. Chris was the first to make a punch straight towards the stomach of evan. Noticing his friend getting attacked Austin tried to interfere not missing Austin's moment of distraction both the friends of Chris started attacking Austin. Soon both even and Austin were beaten ruthlessly with some of their bones broken. Evan not very good with fights had the most broken bones.
After beating both Austin and Ivan to the heavily injured state, Chris left after giving them a warning not to ever get involved with him and his friends and to take a different route whenever they see him.
After Chris left Austin gave a wry smile to Evan. Austin's smile carried his apology about how he always gets his friend involved.
Evan said: "So do you plan to remain like this, you better bring out your phone to call an ambulance. My phone got broken during the fight.
Austin acknowledging the need for assistance immediately brought out his phone and was relieved to see it was not damaged. After calling the Ambulance they waited for the Ambulance to pick them up.
Soon the Ambulance arrived they were taken to the hospital and they were asked to rest for a few hours before they could be discharged. This world was different from the previous earth as it had aether governing it. Recovering from fractures was very easy and required little assistance. Any normal person here could live for around 200 years old and high tier awakeners could live even longer.
Austin Rested for a while and said about how he will make it up to Evan tomorrow and Evan should rest. After some conversation Austin left Evan to rest felling somewhat drowsy from not being able to sleep well at night because of the nightmare Evan slept on the hospital bed hoping how he will not get involved next time such things happen.
He did not have any idea he will soon have what most reincarnator's have with them.
