A small boy sat alone in his room, drawing a picture.
The drawing showed him standing beside his parents and his little sister.
He carefully colored it, doing his best to make it beautiful.
Suddenly...
He heard the sound of arguing outside his room.
His hand froze.
He hesitated for a moment, then quietly stood up and walked toward the door.
He slowly opened it, peeking outside to see what was happening.
As he opened the door a little wider, the voices became louder.
He couldn't make out every word,
but the anger in their voices was enough to frighten him.
His parents stood facing each other, their expressions filled with tension.
Without realizing it, he took a small step back.
His tiny fingers gripped the edge of the doorframe,
as if it could protect him.
He looked down at his hands.
They were covered in paint.
He quietly wondered,
"Why can't things stay as beautiful as they are in my drawings?"
A few moments later...
He gently closed the door behind him.
He walked back to his room,
carrying a drawing that no longer felt the same.
He sat in front of it,
but he couldn't bring himself to finish coloring it.
Instead, he climbed onto his bed,
hugged his knees to his chest,
and listened as the arguing continued through the walls.
He thought for a long time.
He didn't understand why his parents kept arguing.
He only knew that every argument made home feel a little less like home.
Suddenly,
an idea appeared in his mind.
Maybe... I can help them.
Before the night had fully fallen,
and before anyone noticed he was gone,
he quietly put on his old coat,
opened the front door as carefully as he could,
and slipped outside without making a sound.
He never looked back.
He thought it would be simple.
He would find a job,
earn some money,
and then come home.
Maybe then...
everything would be okay again.
He had no idea
that this single step
would become the beginning of a journey
that would change his life forever.
The little boy continued walking down the empty street.
The cold stung his skin,
and the darkness surrounded him like a heavy blanket.
After a few moments,
he stopped and looked back at his home.
For a brief moment,
he silently said goodbye.

he noticed someone familiar.
His little sister was walking alone,
following him with innocent curiosity.
His eyes widened.
He couldn't leave her behind.
He walked toward her and spoke softly.
"Come with me... You shouldn't be here by yourself."
She hesitated for a moment,
then took his hand.
As they walked away together,
