His fingers tightened slightly around my wrist.
"That mark," he said quietly, eyes flicking to my neck. "You moved on fast."
I laughed—soft, disbelieving. "You don't get to say that."
His jaw clenched. "I'm just observing."
"Observing?" I pulled my hand back, finally meeting his gaze. His words are making me lose my mind from anger. "You observed plenty back then too—texts at midnight, perfume that wasn't mine, lies you thought I was too stupid to notice."
His eyes darkened. "That's not how it was."
"Oh, but it was." My voice stayed calm, sharper than shouting ever could. "You cheated, then looked me in the eye and swore I was 'imagining things.' You made me doubt myself while you played loyal."
Silence stretched between us.
"And now," I continued, gesturing lightly toward my neck, "you're standing here acting jealous? Possessive?" I shook my head. "It's almost impressive—how you can betray someone and still feel entitled to them."
"I never said I was entitled to you," he muttered, his voice low.
"You didn't have to," I said. "It's written all over your face."
His grip loosened. "Seeing that hickey—" He stopped himself.
"Make you hurt?" I finished for him. "Good. Because that mark?" I leaned closer, voice low. "It's from someone who doesn't lie to me. Someone who doesn't touch other people and come home pretending I'm the problem."
He looked away, just for a second.
"You lost me the moment you chose someone else," I said softly. "So don't look at me like I still belong to you."
I stepped back, leaving him standing there—with nothing but his jealousy and his regret.
———AT EVENING:
As i step into the parking lot after finishing my work, strong arms wrap around my waist and i almost scream until I hear that deep, sweet voice. "Miss you so much, Baby!" *Jeremy's breath tickles my ear.
"You freak me out, Jem!" I shout, but there was no anger behind my voice. I melt into his embrace.
"Let's go out for a dinner tonight." He suggest. As we enter the Restaurant, i remember coming here with Zhenya months ago.
He said he's going to restroom and when he come back he was breathing heavily with a satisfied smirk on his face. I was a dumb not to catch him right there. But It's no use now.
"Baby?" Jeremy's voice push me out of my thoughts. "Yes, Love?" I stammer. "I meet Zhenya at your work building."
I freeze, even when he said it calmly. "And?" I ask slowly.
"He was acting so much I almost laugh." Jeremy says. "He was growling 'Elena is mine. You think she love you? She still love me!' I think your ex need help." Jeremy says between eating.
I laugh, he still think i love him? My ass. Then i freeze as I see her— Lilya. The girl i catch with Zhenya. Zhenya was cheating on me with Lilya, a model and pure russian, with her long legs, slim and fit figure. When we break up, i search about Lilya, wanted to be like her until i meet Jeremy, Who made me realise I'm beautiful in my own way. Everyone is. Me with my pear shape body.
I sometimes wonder is he also will leave me like Zhenya... But his love and affection always throw those doubts away.
As i look back at Jeremy, i freeze, he was looking at me like he wants to eat me."You are scaring me." I said, almost a whisper.
"Am I?" Jeremy Smirk, God, he's so handsome.
