Adrian frowned and stepped aside. He had limited magic power and didn't intend to continue fighting.
The black-robed law enforcer was overjoyed. He suddenly remembered that when he'd been in the wizarding market, this kid had been staying with Dougt.
Five of them had been dispatched and they couldn't catch Dougt. If he went back alone now, he'd probably be severely punished. But it would be different if he could catch this kid and bring him back.
Thinking like this, the black-robed law enforcer waved his wand at the fastest speed in his life.
What a pity, a magic shockwave was faster than him.
As the Magic Bracelet on Adrian's left wrist instantly lit up by magic, the black-robed wizard hadn't figured out the situation before being hit as if by a bull. His body rolled into the smelly trash pile, and his wand fell to the ground.
"Why are you doing this again?" Adrian said with frustration. He'd received the system's prompt, the magic circle contained in the bracelet would be scrapped if it was used one more time.
Fortunately, some magic power was originally stored in the magic circle. You only needed to activate it to release the corresponding magic. Otherwise Adrian would have had a headache.
The black-robed wizard who'd been suddenly hit hard quickly realized the little wizard in front of him possessed powerful magical items.
But no matter how powerful a magical item was, it depended on who was using it. The black-robed wizard suddenly rolled and grasped the wand that had fallen nearby, then turned around sharply, pointing the wand toward the little wizard. The process went smoothly, he'd obviously practiced hard.
"Stupe—"
"Stupefy!"
Looking at the black-robed wizard who slowly fell to the ground with an expression of disbelief on his face, Adrian lowered his wand.
'What was he doing? Making such an obvious move in front of me, I'm not blind.'
Although there wasn't much magic remaining in his body, this kind of thing could still be squeezed out.
"Ugh... What is all this? What am I even doing today?" Adrian sighed. After taking the other party's wand and walking a few steps forward, he dragged the black-robed wizard's foot with disgust and walked in Dougt's direction.
When Adrian reached the scene, Dougt had already cleaned things up. The four black-robed law enforcement team members were thrown into the pile of rocks together. The injuries on their bodies seemed to have been treated by Dougt, though Adrian didn't know if they were still alive.
"He actually ran into you? Really unlucky for him," Dougt said, looking at the black-robed wizard Adrian was dragging along the ground. He couldn't help mourning for the man for a moment.
'I was unlucky when I met you!'
Adrian complained silently in his heart and dragged the black-robed wizard over to the pile of rocks, leaving him with the other four.
After a fight where he'd caught all the enforcers who'd been chasing him, Dougt had vented his anger and was obviously in a better mood. But looking at Adrian's figure, he still felt a bit disbelieving.
"If word gets out that the two of us dealt with the law enforcement team today, you'll be famous," Dougt couldn't help saying.
"They'll only know that you overturned four law enforcers and scared one away. I used a magical object to defeat one running enforcer." Adrian rolled his eyes. Being famous as a little wizard about to go into second year wasn't a good thing.
Not to mention that taking care of the law enforcement team also meant getting into trouble, which was why he'd only used his Patronus to assist Dougt in battle.
Unfortunately, he'd still run into the one who escaped.
Adrian's calm performance surprised Dougt a little.
He'd thought that after defeating several adult wizards, Adrian would boast and ask him for a few compliments. Dougt had even thought out his words in advance.
"What should we do next? Can you handle this? Won't the people in the wizard market come to trouble us again?" Adrian looked at the five black-robed wizards with a trace of worry.
"It would've been a big problem, but now..." Dougt grinned and looked at the five law enforcers behind him contemptuously.
"I think I can have a good talk with them."
"Are you sure?" Adrian said doubtfully. The ability to create such a wizarding market in a place like Knockturn Alley showed that their power was huge.
"Matters in Knockturn Alley are often discussed after a fight! As long as you can win, you can say anything," Dougt said confidently.
"Who established the wizarding market? You have to tell me this!" Adrian's confidence in Dougt had long been exhausted.
'Like you said before that you could deal with the law enforcement team alone? And then you got completely thrashed?'
Dougt's face looked quite embarrassed. Almost all of Adrian's distrust had been written on his face, so he had to explain.
"It was jointly established by several pure-blood families. The so-called law enforcement team was also hired by them with money. There were seven enforcers total. Five of them became prisoners this time, so negotiations are bound to happen."
"These arrogant pure-bloods actually care about a poor place like Knockturn Alley?" Adrian said sarcastically.
In Knockturn Alley, the most numerous weren't the dark wizards but poor ordinary wizards, which was why he'd thought Knockturn Alley was similar to a slum.
It was hard to imagine that pure-blood wizards who held their own identities in such high regard would pay attention to this kind of place.
"No one has trouble with Galleons. Besides, those pure-bloods don't have to appear in person, they just find an agent." Dougt was also very disdainful of the so-called pure-bloods. After adjusting his emotions, he continued.
"Well, anyway, I'll take care of this matter."
Speaking, Dougt grabbed Adrian's shoulder and used Apparition.
Adrian didn't resist, and in an instant found himself in a small alley not far from his own dark magic shop.
Dougt grabbed a dozen Galleons from his pocket and put them in Adrian's hand, then said, "Remember, don't tell your mother what just happened. Just say you practiced the Patronus Charm at my house, then bought some things. Nothing more."
Before Adrian had time to respond, he saw Dougt disappear without a trace in a flash. He'd obviously performed Apparition again.
"I didn't agree..." Adrian tossed the Galleons in his hand and said with frustration.
'Dougt The Unhinged. Sure enough, there are no wrong nicknames, only wrong names.'
Adrian felt better after looking at the Galleons in his hand, the Magic Bracelet on his wrist, and the bottle of Thestral blood.
Except for an inexplicable fight, the harvest had been pretty good.
Thinking of this, Adrian straightened out his somewhat scattered clothes and walked toward his dark magic shop.
