It's been several years since Meliodas' successful overtaking, he was a very kind king. The occupants of Hell had wiplash from the durastic change that had happened between the dianamics between the two two kings.
From the hateful, cheating non caring Lucifer to the thoughtful, caring and obsessive Meliodas. It was definitely a change they hadn't anticipated but one they didn't mind and that they needed.
God paid Hell a visit, for the first time since its creation, to help Meliodas keep his promise to those that were in Hell that weren't supposed to be.
God was even kind enough to give them a choice.
"Only come if you want to, Heaven will not force your soul to come there just because you were supposed to be there to begin with." He had explained.
"So if we stay we won't be punished." Someone asked.
"No, you wouldn't either way." He said warmly.
Many did decide to go with God and into Heaven, he even took ones that weren't Heaven bound. Souls that were meant to be in Hell from the beginning, telling the Hell's occupants one thing.
"The ones that weren't bound to Heaven can also come, for your soul has been redeemed, all sins done in your life as a living human being has been forgiven for those of you that helped with the battle for Hells throne." He had said seriously, some taking the chance, though they liked Meliodas, they didn't want to have to stick around if he turned out like Lucifer.
God praised Meliodas for his efforts, and gave him a curt nod of approval. Meliodas smiled and nodded back to show his appreciation, then God and the ones going with him to Heaven vanished in a bright light they all had to shield themselves from.
After reinforcements done to the foundation and walls of the castle, they tasted it out with Black transforming into his dragon and wrapping himself around the upgraded building, they had made it bigger, raised the ceiling and widened the towers, though, those were dummy towers. The rest was done underground tunnels, wide and tall enough for his dragon form to move around, a room for him to sleep in his dragon form and a room for human form if he so wished.
Lucifer ravaged Lilith, they married in a Hellish themed wedding, Lilith had chosen a red dress with black lace accents, the sleevles dress accentuated her curves and Meliodas only had eyes for her the entire celebration.
Lilith ended up pregnant, which was a shock to everyone, Lilith and Meliodas included. Everyone had been under the assumption that demons couldn't conceive.
Luckily for them, one of the heaven bound souls was a doctor in their human time and several others were nurses, they were set.
They found Lilith was pregnant with twins, one boy and one girl.
God learned of this new development and was also surprised to hear that they were expecting children. He wasn't sure what to make of it but made a note to try his luck once more on someone overtaking the throne.
This shouldn't be happening, it can't happen, if these children are born Hell will be more powerful than heaven, if there comes a time when Meliodas wants war?
Noo, it's Meliodas he wouldn't start a war, he was a Heaven bound soul, so God changed his note to just keep a close eye on things and then try to intervene if necessary.
Though, he knew it would be futile to even try, he had given Meliodas most of his god powers, even God himself couldn't hold a candle to Meliodas in strength.
So God watched.
Meliodas knew he was watching, though the intent wasn't one hundred precent pure hearted. He understood Gods wariness with this development.
Lilith gave birth to her twins without much complications, her boy first and her daughter second.
Their son was named Tristan, and their daughter Amity. They grew like weeds, many merly blinked and the children were 5 years old already.
Meliodas and Lilith raised their children with love, care, and taught them respect, how to behave and taught them right from wrong.
Meliodas didn't waver in his devotion to his people, but his wifes and children's safety did come first. Tristan watched from Meliodas' lap numerous times as Meliodas sat on the throne and took his subjects in one after the other as they brought concerns and problems to his attention.
Meliodas expertly took care of his people, even if they were "demons" and they had cane here for the sins they had committed in their lives while they were alive, they still deserved some semblance of respect.
Meliodas, even with the knowledge that some of these people had took the lives of others, or significantly changed their lives - like rape or kidnapping, etc.- he still treated them like humans.
The demons, upon arriving, had expected torture or even to be killed- even in the afterlife- they were surprised when they were treated with respect and kidness. They felt guilty, and remorseful of what had transpired in their lives.
Their moments of weakness had lead them to this moment, and they definitely remembered the names of those they sinned against, so in reality, that was thier punishment.
Tristan respected his father for the way he treated his people, he was for sure if it were anyone else on that throne, screams of agony and painwould he heard from heaven itself.
Lilith and Meliodas ruled with iron fists when it came down to it though, and they remained vigilant. While Lucifers spirit guarded Excalibur, his own way of making up for the way he'd behaved and treated his people,
Amity grew to be quite the beautiful young girl, takingafter he mother in ways of beauty and strength. She helped her hrother and father with the people's issues from time to time but most of it was spent helping her mother with the reports.
At night, they were the perfect, happy little family, a family of demons but from an outsider point of view- you couldn't tell that this family was demonic..
