Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 – Izanagi

He frantically drew out every drop of Chakra, the Rinnegan flaring with a light never seen before as he gathered every Truth-Seeking Orb in front of him into the strongest defense he could forge.

Night—Guy!!!

Across the real world, countless voices instinctively shouted that name.

Might Guy's figure vanished.

He became a crimson dragon that tore through heaven and earth!

Burning everything, giving everything, he charged at the "despair" he had to stop.

Guy—I acknowledge you!

When it comes to taijutsu, I, Naruto, name you the mightiest!

The crimson dragon slammed head-on into the black Truth-Seeking Orb that held the power of all creation.

Weng!

First came utter stillness, as though sound itself had been swallowed by the force.

Then—

an indescribable explosion, like the birth of the world—

Blinding white light devoured the heavenly screen, forcing every shinobi in the real world to shut their eyes or shield them with their hands.

When the radiance faded, people looked up in desperation.

In the center of the battlefield yawned an immense, bottomless crater.

Uzumaki Naruto hovered at its edge, breathing hard, his Rinnegan wide with shock and lingering fear.

On the opposite rim, the crimson steam that had burned his life away had vanished completely.

Might Guy lay motionless, body charred, his life flickering like a candle in the wind, barely detectable.

He had lost.

Yet he had also won.

With his life he had shown the entire Ninja World that a mortal frame can stand equal to gods!

His conviction, his blazing youth, became eternal in that instant.

Teacher Guy—you're the one who won!

Uzumaki Naruto's voice suddenly cut through the deathly silence.

His words rang clearly through the heavenly screen, reaching every corner of the real world, jolting everyone who mourned Guy's tragic sacrifice.

Won?

What did he mean?

Under countless disbelieving stares, the Naruto on the screen slowly raised his left arm.

He performed a gruesome act.

With his fingers he gouged an eye out of the flesh of that arm!

It was a Sharingan now dull and ash-gray, devoid of all luster.

The three tomoe pattern was still faintly visible, but lifeless.

Izanagi… Naruto murmured, studying the ruined eye, his calm voice stating a fact that would shake the shinobi world.

A forbidden jutsu of the Uchiha Clan. Sacrifice a three-tomoe Sharingan and turn reality into a dream, reversing life and death…

He paused, the corner of his mouth curving into a cold, mocking smile.

I really have to thank that old fossil Danzo—his whole arm was lined with Sharingan, cost me quite a bit of effort back then.

Still, thanks to him I learned this secret before he died; otherwise today… things would've been troublesome.

Boom!!!

Those words crashed like thunder across the real world.

Sharingan… how could he have Sharingan on his arm?

Izanagi? The Uchiha still have a jutsu like that?

Danzo? Shimura Danzo? Why would he have Sharingan—an entire arm of them?

You mean… that suicide strike from Might Guy really killed him once, but he revived himself with Izanagi?!

On the screen, Naruto casually tossed the ruined eye aside as if discarding trash.

He glanced in the direction Sasuke had fled, hesitated, then chose not to pursue.

Today's cost was a bit high… no rush, better steady.

He spoke softly, as though calming himself—or playing a cat-and-mouse game.

Next time… I'll wipe you out completely.

With that, his form turned into a golden streak and vanished beyond the horizon.

The scene shifted, no longer lingering on top-tier combat but on the fierce battlefields scattered across the land.

Plains, valleys, forests, riverbanks—everywhere the Allied Shinobi Force clashed with the White Zetsu army.

Ninjutsu still flashed; explosions, war-cries, and screams never ceased.

Every second lives were lost, the savagery of war laid bare.

Yet the shinobi fighting for survival, for the world, did not know—

the Five Kage upon whom they pinned all hope as supreme commanders had already fallen.

Uchiha Sasuke, the only one they believed could oppose the world destroyer, had fled gravely wounded.

Might Guy, who blossomed into the most brilliant lotus at the cost of his life, had failed to turn the tide.

The image faded; the sky returned to calm.

The real world sank into long, deathly silence.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's face was ashen; he knew of Danzo's bandage-wrapped arm transplanted with Sharingan—but such a truth must never surface.

What would the clans think? A clan's secret techniques are its foundation; they must never be coveted.

That was a bottom-line issue.

A crisis that could tear Konoha apart!

In the darkness Danzo clenched his fist, his single eye filled with horror and fury—his secret exposed in this way!

And from the look of it, he would one day be killed by that brat Uzumaki Naruto?

Danzo's gaze turned cold; he was the one destined to lead Konoha, and for the village he would eliminate every unstable factor.

The faces of the Kage from every village grew darker by the moment.

Fourth Raikage A smashed his desk to splinters, lightning Chakra crackling uncontrollably.

He could not accept the sight of himself being casually cut in half in that future; such a trivial death felt more humiliating than defeat itself.

Uzumaki Naruto… Konoha!!! his roar echoed.

Tsuchikage Ōnoki floated in the air, his aged face so gloomy it seemed it could drip.

Beheaded—he had not even seen the strike.

Such an end was a mockery and disgrace to one who had weathered countless storms and prided himself on cunning.

Mei Terumī bit her crimson lip, fists clenched, the phantom pain of her pierced chest still lingering.

Rasa's eyes were sinister; relieved his death had not come at his son's hand yet burning with murderous intent toward the unknown killer.

These "Kage" who stood at the apex of the world had been no more than dust before that future Uzumaki Naruto.

The absolute gap in power left them choking on helplessness and humiliation.

Tsunade kept her gaze on the sky, Shizune watching her with worry.

Let's go—back, Tsunade said.

Eh? Shizune blinked, stunned.

Tsunade stepped forward, murmuring, I need to return and take a good look at that boy.
