Chapter 16 - First Encounter and System Emergency

Ren Kurosawa's training field lay near the **Forest of Death**, an isolated area with uneven terrain, fallen logs, and roots that rose like natural traps. He moved across the ground from early morning, leaping over trunks, rolling across slopes, keeping each step measured and his chakra under firm control. Every muscle worked in harmony with his mind, each jump and dodge calculated to use the terrain to his advantage.

He began with **shuriken and kunai training**, attempting to replicate techniques inspired by Itachi. Each projectile required precise force, angle, and chakra flow. Scored trunks, torn leaves, and small marks showed his progress. Ren imagined iron-wire techniques altering trajectories, internalizing the complexity even without a Sharingan.

Training the **Substitution Jutsu** followed intensely. He finally managed coherent replacements with perfect illusions, tricking the senses with precision, testing timing and chakra usage. His muscles trembled, sweat ran down his body, but the sense of progress fueled his determination.

Then, danger emerged: a **colossal boar** charged from the **Forest of Death**, fleeing from some disturbance in the depths of the trees. The creature was a fusion of brute strength, speed, and cunning. Muscles rippled under thick skin, hooves pounded the ground like hammers, curved tusks gleamed, and small eyes shone with predatory intelligence. Its mud-streaked fur blended perfectly with the terrain, making it nearly invisible until the attack.

The first strike was devastating. Ren rolled to the side, but the massive paw tore his shoulder and arm, opening deep gashes. Hot blood flowed, the pain burning through every muscle. The boar spun its body, calculating each charge with terrifying precision.

Ren tried to create illusion clones to confuse it, but the beast easily dodged, reacting to subtle chakra traces. A blow hit his leg, knocking him down. Another struck his back, leaving painful bruises. Exhaustion began to weigh heavily, and every breath was labored.

At a critical moment, the boar lunged full force, and Ren grabbed the **metal kunai**, his first reward from the system. The cold steel in his hand gave him confidence. He used it to partially block the boar's paw, pushing himself backward, gaining space and time to reposition. Sparks flew as the paw struck the blade, and he felt the impact surge through his arm, but he escaped the worst of it.

The fight continued:

* He created three illusion clones, placing them in different arcs to distract the beast;

* The first clone moved left, drawing the boar's attention;

* Ren used **Substitution**, appearing behind the creature, striking its shoulder with the kunai, opening a deep wound;

* The second strike hit the front leg, unbalancing the animal;

* A precise leap followed by another substitution hit the side of its neck, knocking it down temporarily;

* The boar rose again, breathing heavily, eyes glowing with rage and cunning.

At the critical point, about to be struck again, the **system entered emergency mode**. Nanomachines activated:

* **Enhanced reflexes**: anticipating the boar's moves with near-perfect precision;

* **Maximized chakra control**: each substitution and jutsu executed efficiently;

* **Tactical analysis**: muscles, breathing, attack patterns, and behavior fully mapped;

* **Emotional suppression**: fear, pain, and mental exhaustion neutralized, keeping Ren's mind cold and strategic.

The battle became a perfect choreography of attack and defense:

* Ren moved almost like flying across the field with substitutions and precise leaps, landing critical strikes with the kunai;

* Illusion clones dodged attacks in a coordinated pattern, confusing the boar;

* Each strike was followed by rapid repositioning, using terrain, logs, and roots;

* His wounds throbbed, blood flowed, but he remained focused, the pain reduced to alert signals thanks to emotional suppression.

Finally, after a sequence of strategic attacks, the beast fell, exhausted. Ren, covered in cuts, bruises, and mud, dropped to his knees, breathing heavily. His body was drained, but his mind absorbed every lesson, every analysis of the opponent, every detail of the battle. Losing consciousness, he felt victory: **he had survived his first real battle**, understanding the importance of body, mind, chakra, tactical analysis, and absolute emotional control.

The training field bore the marks of the fight: broken trees, shurikens embedded in trunks, mud and blood smeared across the ground, massive footprints of the boar mixed with traces of battle. Ren had learned that **training alone is not enough — one must analyze, adapt, react, and control every physical and emotional aspect to survive in the ninja world**.

> "Training isn't enough… every step, every movement, every breath must be calculated. Even then, nothing prepares you for the unpredictable." – thought Ren, unconscious, but mentally absorbing lessons that would shape his future.
