Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: The Ancient bloodline Appears!

"Demon Aspects: Robe of Purgatory!"

A humanoid silhouette of flames ignited in the sky, dyeing the entire night an orange-red hue.

"Momon, I admit you are strong, but you are still far from the peak of this world!" Demiurge looked down at Momon from above. The flames around his body condensed, forming a tangible fiery robe that twisted the surrounding space.

Momon stood on the rooftop, looking up at him, the orange-red firelight reflecting off his dark armor.

After taking a few breaths, he swung his greatsword again, cutting out a dazzling white arc of sword flash in the air as he roared, "Demon Emperor! I will not let you succeed!"

Whoosh!

Crack!

Demiurge caught the sword flash with one hand and, with a slight squeeze, crushed it into fragments of light. "Hmph, a spent force."

"Demon Aspects: Giant Arm of the Mighty Demon!"

The dark demonic arm suddenly expanded into a massive hand over ten meters long, which then rose high into a clenched fist.

"That treasure is about to appear, so I won't play with you any longer."

Boom!

Flames instantly ignited along the demonic arm, like a burning warhammer descending from the sky, erupting with overwhelming power as it smashed down toward Momon.

Bang!

For a brief moment, the scene seemed to freeze. In the next second, buildings within a hundred-meter radius were instantly reduced to dust. The shockwave from the unleashed power swept the debris to every corner of the capital.

The ground trembled violently as a pillar of fire shot into the sky before quickly dissipating.

A scorching scent filled the air.

As the dust gradually cleared, a massive crater with a diameter of several dozen meters appeared at the center.

At the bottom of the pit, Momon's armor was twisted and deformed by the flames. He lay there weakly, emitting a faint aura.

Demiurge, hovering in the sky, retracted his arm and shook his head. His voice rang out across the entire capital as he declared, "Humans are, after all, only humans. They cannot contend with me."

"Lord Helant, please come back quickly..." A trace of worry appeared on Evil Eye's delicate face as she saw Momon defeated.

The aura emanating from Demiurge gave her a sensation similar to facing a True Dragon Lord in the past.

The Second Prince, Zanac, sat weakly on his warhorse. His sword slipped from his hand and clattered to the ground as he trembled. "Is the kingdom finished?!"

Demiurge raised his arm once more. The flames covering his body gathered along his arm, forming a massive fireball. The terrifying heat turned the originally orange-red flames into a ghastly white.

"Die."

"Oh no, Sir Momon!"

Evil Eye's pupils contracted as she thought, This is bad. The temperature of that fireball would surely reduce Momon to ashes.

Momon's strength far surpassed hers. If he died, then aside from Helant, no one in the kingdom could save it.

Just as her anxiety peaked, the ground suddenly began to shake violently, causing her to lose her balance and collapse to the ground.

Rumble!!!

Buildings crumbled like fragile blocks under the violent tremors.

A fissure suddenly tore open from the north of the capital, cutting straight through its center and extending all the way to the south.

A white light shot out from the fissure that split the capital in two, bursting into layers of invisible ripples in the air.

"Roar—ao!"

The demons that had been rampaging through the capital suddenly came to a halt, all turning to look at the cluster of white light. Their crimson, violent eyes revealed an instinctive craving.

Evil Eye seized the opportunity to cast magic, killing dozens of demons before rushing toward Momon's location to rescue him.

Helant's friend must not die here!

Zanac stared blankly at the white light in the sky, muttering numbly, "What is that thing?!"

"The ancient bloodline!"

The fireball in Demiurge's hand began to dissipate under the influence of the white light, scattering into countless sparks.

He paid no attention to it. Instead, he grabbed at his hair frantically, gesturing wildly in the air. "Splendid, my destined World Item!"

"Demiurge, the Platinum Dragon Lord is almost at the capital." Aura's voice sounded in his ear.

"I know," Demiurge replied in his mind.

Buzz—!!

Just as he was about to reach out and seize it, the white light suddenly flickered and shot away like a meteor toward the distant mountains.

"You belong to me. Don't run!"

Demiurge's voice turned urgent. Abandoning the elegant composure he had maintained, he chased after it in a panic.

Nabe stood at the center of the massive crater Demiurge had created. Her once fair and pristine face now bore several small scratches, and her clothes and equipment were riddled with damage.

She looked exactly like someone who had just gone through a fierce battle.

This battle-worn, cold beauty now stood with one hand on her hip, her pretty face extremely serious. "Lord Pandora, you are currently an injured person. Please act more convincingly."

In front of her, Momon leaned against his greatsword, one leg bent and the other extended, his hand resting on his knee, his head tilted downward at a perfect forty-five-degree angle.

His worn and damaged armor looked utterly desolate under the glow of the hellfire wall at the edge of the capital.

"Nabe, tell me, which line should I say later? 'I'm sorry, the Demon Emperor was too strong,' or 'I'm sorry, I failed everyone's expectations'?"

What should a swordsman who has been defeated and is powerless to protect the people behind him look like?

"Desolate? Grieved? Disheartened?"

"Lord Pandora! For Lord Momonga's character, you should lean toward Lord Momonga!"

Nabe was helpless. She took out a potion from her spatial storage and grumbled, "You need to consider the persona. You can't just focus on looking cool."

Lord Momonga's character, but I am the coolest image in his mind...

Pandora shook his head helplessly. He could not explain it clearly to this young girl of his own kind.

In all of Nazarick, aside from Lord Helant, he was the one who understood his "father" the most.

Just then, he sensed a Vampire aura rapidly approaching.

"Nabe, someone's coming."

Evil Eye's small figure moved swiftly through the air, crossing most of the capital and arriving at the edge of the pit.

"Phew, thankfully you're both alright."

Evil Eye noticed the several potion bottles casually discarded beside Momon, as well as Nabe, who could still stand and was clearly not seriously injured. Her heart immediately settled.

"What are you doing here?" Nabe's willow-like brows furrowed, her tone cold.

She did not really want Evil Eye to get close, even though she was also one of those who liked Lord Helant.

However, her strength was too great compared to the others.

Coupled with Pandora's occasionally erratic behavior, she was worried that Evil Eye might notice something unusual.

At the question, Evil Eye puffed out her fair cheeks, pulled out the doll necklace from her neck, and waved it. "Momon is Helant's friend. I have an obligation to help him."

How dare she address him so casually!

Nabe's pretty face tightened as she enunciated each word from her delicate red lips. "Call him 'Lord Helant'!"

Last time she still knew to use "Lord," but this time she dropped it.

They had not even met yet. If they did, how respectful would she have to be?

Indeed, it was better if these insect—ehm.. these human women did not get close to Lord Helant.
