Chapter 19 - Chapter 4: Heaven-Breaker

Zayn didn't just jump. He erupted.

The ground of Oakhaven didn't just crack; it buckled and gave way, a massive crater forming beneath his heels as he converted every ounce of Planetary Resonance into upward kinetic force. To the villagers watching from below, it looked as if a streak of molten amber had been shot out of a cannon toward the iron-bellied ship hanging in the clouds.

[PLANETARY SYNC: 15%... 10%... CRITICAL LOW]

The system alerts flashed in Zayn's vision, a frantic red pulse that matched the pounding of his heart. As he soared higher, the air grew cold and thin. The hum of the Earth—his primary power source—became a distant, fading echo.

"Not... yet..." Zayn hissed, the wind whipping his hair back. His skin was flaking, the ash of his internal burn trailing behind him like a comet's tail.

He was a projectile of pure rage.

Above him, the Cloud-Galleon loomed like a floating mountain. Its hull was made of "Sky-Steel," a metal refined from frozen lightning and spirit-vapor. As Zayn closed the distance, the ship's automatic defenses spiraled into life. Dozens of sapphire-encrusted turrets swiveled toward him.

Pew. Pew. Pew.

Beams of concentrated Frost-Qi lanced through the air. One clipped Zayn's shoulder, instantly flash-freezing his skin and turning the orange glow of his veins into a dull, frozen blue.

[STATUS: FROSTBITE SPREADING]

"You think a little cold is going to stop a volcanic heart?" Zayn roared.

He couldn't use the Seismic Pulse—there was no ground to vibrate. But he had the Point-Resonance. He focused the heat of his core into his heels.

BOOM.

A small, localized explosion of heat acted like a secondary thruster, pushing him just enough to dodge a lethal blast that would have vaporized his head.

He reached the hull. He didn't look for a door. He didn't look for a ladder.

Zayn pulled back his fist, the knuckles glowing with a white-hot intensity that started to melt the Sky-Steel before he even touched it.

"OPEN UP!"

[TECHNIQUE: POINT-RESONANCE – THE PIERCING CORE]

Impact.

The sound was like a hammer hitting a bell the size of a city. The shockwave cleared the clouds for three miles in every direction. The Sky-Steel, designed to withstand dragon-fire and hurricane winds, shivered and then shattered.

Zayn punched clean through the three-foot-thick hull.

The vacuum of the ship's interior pressure combined with Zayn's momentum sucked him inside. He tumbled through the metal corridor, smashing through two reinforced spirit-walls before finally sliding to a halt in the middle of the Grand Training Deck.

Silence followed. Only the sound of hissing steam and the groaning of the ship's frame remained.

Zayn stood up, coughing out a cloud of grey soot. He was covered in metal shavings and blood—mostly his own, but some belonged to the guards he'd just accidentally crushed upon entry.

"Intruder!" a voice screamed.

Zayn looked up. He was surrounded.

The Training Deck was a massive, open arena where the ship's elite soldiers practiced. There were at least fifty of them—Cloud-Walkers and Harvester Initiates. They were dressed in white and silver, their weapons glowing with the pale, arrogant light of the High Sects.

At the far end of the hall, sitting on a raised dais, was a woman with hair like spun glass and eyes that held the vacuum of space. She held a long, curved flute made of human bone.

This was The Conductor, the Galleon's security chief.

"You've come a long way to die, little spark," she said, her voice echoing with a haunting, musical quality. "Do you have any idea how much that hull cost to repair?"

"Send the bill to the afterlife," Zayn said, his voice dropping an octave as his feet touched the spirit-metal floor.

He felt it. The ship was powered by a Core of Solidified Lightning. It wasn't the Earth, but it was matter. It had a frequency.

[PLANETARY SYNC: RE-ESTABLISHING...]

[OBJECT DETECTED: ARTIFICIAL FLOATING MASS]

[SYNC SUCCESSFUL: 60% (STUN-LOCK WARNING)]

"Wait," The Conductor's eyes widened. "What are you doing? You can't draw Qi from a Sky-Ship! The frequencies are incompatible!"

"I'm not drawing from it," Zayn growled, his hand slamming onto the floor. "I'm overloading it."

[PLANETARY RESONANCE: STAGE 1 - SEISMIC OVERDRIVE]

Zayn didn't just send one pulse. He turned himself into a living tuning fork. He matched his Internal Burn to the frequency of the ship's lightning core.

vrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRR—

The floor beneath the guards began to scream. The spirit-metal turned from silver to a sickening, glowing yellow.

"My feet! My feet are burning!" one of the guards shrieked. He tried to jump, but the static electricity in the air held him in place.

THUMP.

The first pulse hit. The guards' boots exploded.

THUMP.

The second pulse hit. The spirit-armor the soldiers wore—the armor they spent decades refining—shattered into a thousand jagged needles, turning inward and shredding the men inside.

It was a meat-grinder of vibration.

The Conductor stood up, her face twisted in rage. She put the bone flute to her lips and blew a single, piercing note. A wave of blue "Silent Qi" rushed toward Zayn, designed to cancel out all sound and vibration.

"Be quiet, peasant!" she screamed.

The blue wave hit Zayn's Seismic Pulse. For a second, the two energies battled—the cold, silent vacuum of the Heavens vs. the hot, screaming Rage of the Earth.

Zayn gritted his teeth, blood leaking from his eyes. "You want... quiet?"

He forced himself forward, each step leaving a melted footprint in the metal.

"I've been quiet my whole life," Zayn snarled, the amber light in his veins turning a violent, chaotic crimson. "NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE WORLD TO HEAR ME."

He clapped his hands together—The Seismic Breach.

The shockwave didn't just push. It deleted.

The "Silent Qi" was blown back into The Conductor's face. The bone flute exploded into splinters. The entire Training Deck floor buckled upward, the massive spirit-metal plates folding like paper.

The Conductor was sent flying through the ceiling, disappearing into the upper levels of the ship.

Zayn stood alone in the wreckage. Half the guards were dead, the other half were unconscious or crawling away in terror. The ship's alarms were no longer melodic—they were frantic, broken bleeps.

[LEVEL UP: 22 -> 24]

[NEW TRAIT UNLOCKED: SHIP-SHAKER]

[WARNING: SHIP INTEGRITY AT 65%]

Zayn looked toward the heavy blast doors at the end of the hall. Behind them lay the Bridge. Behind them lay the men who thought they could harvest his world.

He didn't walk. He charged.

"Vane!" Zayn's voice echoed through the ship's ventilation system, a terrifying promise of what was coming. "I'm on your boat. Come and get me."

Author's Note (Post-Chapter):

"ABSOLUTE CARNAGE.

Zayn didn't just land; he announced himself. Stage 1 of Planetary Resonance is officially 'Overclocked.' He's learning that he doesn't need a planet to be a threat—he can turn his enemy's own weapons against them.

The Trait 'Ship-Shaker' is now active. Any structure Zayn is inside now becomes a weapon he can control through vibration.
