When I spotted Garrett, his gaze found mine at the same instant.
Our eyes locked for a heartbeat before we both turned away, pretending the moment never happened.
Dominic's breath tickled my ear as he whispered, "Think Garrett actually killed that guy?"
I shot back, "If your brain's fried, find a vet to fix it."
Garrett was obviously laying low right now. Why would he risk causing more chaos?
