I fixed Kenneth with an icy stare, letting just a ghost of a smile play at my lips. The contempt in my eyes made him squirm so badly he couldn't even look at me.
"Funny how your memory works, Lord Kenneth. You skip classes to fool around in brothels, start fights wherever you go—lost count of how many times. And every single time, I stepped up and took the heat for you. Ring any bells?"
The Montgomery estate ran on iron discipline.
When the old Duke lived, he'd carved those family rules in stone—no self-indulgence, no arrogance.
But Kenneth? Genevieve spoiled him rotten, let him break every rule without a scratch.
