Chapter 61 - Interview

Exclusive Interview with the Main Characters and Author After Completing the "Rebel Girl" Series

A year has passed since the final book was written, and now, right after editing the first part, this warm, heartfelt interview took place…

Interviewer: It was an incredible beginning to such a long and emotionally rich love story between Maxim and Katrin.

Author (with a slight smile): Yes… This story truly spans many years in the narrative timeline.

Interviewer: Please tell our readers — when can we expect the continuation? And how many books are you planning in total?

Author: There will be four books in the main series. The first one is already in front of you. Then come:

— Rebel Girl. Part 2. The Consequences

— Rebel Boy. Part 1. Hell Without Her

— Rebel Boy. Part 3. Paradise with the Rebel Girl

They will all be released in 2025. I don't want readers to wait too long.

Interviewer: The titles of the last two books sound rather mystical…

Author: It's not mysticism or fantasy, and there won't be any of that as a genre in the books. And certainly nothing religious. These titles are metaphors for the inner state of the characters. In the fourth book, there's a quote that, in my opinion, clearly explains the essence.

Author (quoting, voice trembling slightly): "Life without you is hell. Life with you is paradise."

 That's the whole secret.

Interviewer: Let's move on to the very first book.

Katrin (with shining eyes): With pleasure. It's my favorite part.

The main heroine suddenly bursts into the conversation — but it seems everyone is already used to her unexpected appearances. She's like a hurricane: lively, emotional, fearless.

Maxim (quietly laughing): I thought you preferred the fourth one.

Katrin: I love all of them… But this is where the fire of passion between us began, the one that continues in the other books too.

Interviewer: And what moment in this book was your favorite?

Katrin (thoughtfully, with a hint of nostalgia): Almost everything. So much laughter, energy, and emotion in those three weeks… Of course, there was a lot of bad stuff. But I try to remember the good.

Maxim (smiling, slightly embarrassed): Our first dance… And of course, when Katrin danced on the pole. That was… beautiful and unexpected. Also the dance in the club, and…

Katrin leaned in and unexpectedly kissed Maxim. The kiss was brief, but the guy fell silent, clearly flustered, not taking his eyes off the girl.

Katrin: We both love all our dances — the ones that already happened, and the ones still to come in the next books.

Author: I promise, there will be many more.

Interviewer: What about Ivan? He'll appear in the second book, right?

Author (restrained, with a sigh): Unfortunately — yes. He'll burst into their lives again. And, sadly, not for the last time. His shadow will haunt them even many years later.

Interviewer: Is this somehow connected to your other books?

Author: I also have two more books — Bad Girl and Bad Boy. Their story will be there too. But more on that in future interviews that will be included at the end of each book.

Interviewer: Will Maxim and Katrin appear there?

Katrin: A little in the first one. A lot more in the second. It's basically a continuation of our life.

Maxim: I agree. In my opinion, it's worth reading them to fully see our story from start to finish. Those books describe two different periods of our adult life in more detail. They're important for the overall closure of our story, especially the first one.

Interviewer: When can we expect those stories?

Author: In 2026. Bad Girl is already written, and Bad Boy is yet to be written. Unfortunately, I had to take a year-long break from writing. While I wrote all four Rebel Girl books in one go, I had to postpone these due to other commitments. I think If I'll write it in 2025 and release it in 2026.

Interviewer: Why not release the first one right away? Why wait?

Author: I have a rule: I don't release a series until it's finished.

Interviewer: Tell us, how did you write Rebel Girl? How long did it take?

Author: You won't believe it… It was my first experience, and I enjoyed the story so much that I couldn't stop writing about them. I wrote the rough drafts of all four books in 49 days. However, by my calculations, I had written about 40% of the full story at that time, and then I added, edited, and finished everything. It felt like inspiration — as if they lived inside me and demanded I write. I couldn't stop. Dialogues, scenes — almost nothing changed afterward.

Author (smiling): I have another rule — never change the plot after it's written. Not a line. I can change things before, but never after. So I don't want to alter anything in any of my stories.

Interviewer: How many books did you write in 2024?

Author: Eight. Though it ended up being ten — because I split some into parts. Due to the large amount of events and word count in the Rebel Girl books, I had to divide them into two parts, which is why they're titled that way. Originally, there were just Rebel Girl and Rebel Boy. I'm not yet sure if I'll divide the other books. After a year, I no longer have the same intense drive I had with Rebel Girl, mostly due to fatigue, and now it takes longer to write one book. I spent a lot of energy writing the In My Eyes series — five books in six months and twenty days. It was an emotional storm. That series drained me the most, but I'll continue writing and editing my books.

Interviewer: When will that come out?

Author: In 2026–2027. In at least five languages, just like these books. If I have time, I'll translate them into more.

Interviewer: You work at an intense pace. You release books fast, considering many authors publish one a year.

Author: I don't like waiting for sequels of anything, and I don't want my readers to wait for mine. Still, it takes a lot of time, and I want to give people from different countries a chance to read these stories — that's why I keep translating them.

Interviewer: I think the readers will appreciate that. What can we expect in the second book?

Katrin (sighing): I want to answer that myself. For me, the next book will be emotionally tough, because I'll realize a lot of things and want to change many aspects of my life. There's also the ongoing tension about what will happen when Ivan remembers us.

Maxim: For me, the first part will be great. But the second… the emotions are overwhelming.

Author: Since it's the second part of Rebel Girl — and remember, I divided the story into two parts — everything is leading to the end of the first book. So there will be a lot of emotions, and the ending turned out to be very emotional. When I wrote the end of that book, I cried a lot. Actually, I sobbed, wrote, and immediately jumped into Rebel Boy. As for the good things — they'll have their first time, dances, and fun.

Interviewer: And who is the Rebel Boy? He's a character, right? I assume that's the title of the third and fourth books.

Author (laughs): You'll find out in the third book. I'll stay quiet about that until you read it.

Interviewer: Why is the second part called The Consequences?

Katrin: Because everything we started led to this. For me, it's the consequence of everything that happened in the first book. Not just Ivan, but the consequences of us meeting, arguing, and making those wishes to each other.

Interviewer: Will there be more races?

Maxim (enthusiastically): Yes! And I enjoyed them.

Katrin (snorting): Well, I didn't. But in the fourth part — yes, I love those races.

Interviewer: I'm getting a little confused.

Author: There won't be any in the second book. But there will be in the third and fourth. The next book won't have them — there's already enough emotional intensity without that.

Interviewer: What was the hardest part of developing the characters?

Author: Maxim is closed off. But inside… he's very emotional too, which eventually shows on the outside. And Katrin is very emotional, just like me. Deep down, the Rebel Girl is sensitive, and writing her actions was the hardest part — because I'm not as brave as she is to do the things she did and will do in the next book. Writing her was more difficult. She did things I'd never dare to do myself.

Interviewer: Did you ever want to cut anything?

Author: Yes. But not from the first book. From the fourth one. I think one day I'll show it to readers on my social media. Also, when you're writing, of course, there are many different ideas for how the story could continue.

Interviewer: Well, I think it's time for everyone to start reading the next installment.

Katrin: We're waiting for you. We hope you'll enjoy it even more.

Maxim: This is the story of our lives, and, in my opinion, it's worth reading — it's a unique love story. And I truly believe it's special.

Author: As I always say… The story of the Rebel Girl is not over yet.

Thank you for being with us. I poured my soul into this story. I hope it resonated with you. Or maybe… it became a part of you.

The next book is already waiting.
