The smoke hung heavy with no obvious fatal wound to the demon, and Mike frowned. "Did that explosion drop it just like that?"
Before anyone could answer, Cerberus's bulky frame burst straight out of the dense smoke unharmed, its six glowing eyes locked singularly on Toby once more.
The two men split apart and dove in opposite directions to dodge its lunging charge.
"Why keep chasing only me! Stay away!" Toby yelped and sprinted madly down the corridor, the enraged three headed hound hot on his heels.
