We followed Lucas and when we arrived at another forest. I frowned. This will be the second forest we'll go through. Kliene looked at me and he was thinking the same thing. We all looked at Lucas.
"I thought you said we were close." I said dryly.
Lucas jumped a bit and yelped, "W-we are!"
"Don't play games with us, priest." Ryan snapped, "Are we closer or are we not?"
"We are!"
"You've been saying that since we've crossed Solaria's borders!" Kliene joined in. He had his arms crossed.
"Honest to gods!" Lucas raised his hands, "I'm telling the truth."
We all stared at him. Things were not looking good for Lucas. Auriana was kicking the ground. She looked bored. Lucas pulled up his system panel and pressed a few buttons. Kliene watched him closely and then frowned after some time.
"What are you doing?" Kliene asked him.
Lucas scratched his head, his platinum blonde hair glistened in the sun, "I'm pulling up the map."
"And how will that help you?" Ryan looked over his shoulder. He raised an eyebrow in question.
Lucas flicked his screen up so it was eye level with Ryan, "What do you see?"
Ryan brought up a hand to his chin, "Nothing but grass. You sure your GPS isn't malfunctioning?"
Lucas shook his head, "Countless Mira pitch in on mapping, and Solaria has countless Mira. Our map is flawless." He gesterest at the forest, "As you can see, this forest isn't charted."
"Which means?" Kliene grabbed the system panel and looked at it.
Lucas turned to him, "We are in the right area." He paused and looked at us individually, "I know you all don't believe me, but I'll only hope you'll understand when you pass through the forest yourself." He walked towards it and disappeared.
We all looked at each other. Ry shrugged and followed Lucas, he too vanished into the forest. Auri went running after him. Kliene held out his hand.
"Will we go together?" He asked.
I smiled softly, "If this is a trap. We'll do this together." I took his hand and we dived into the forest.
