I was working on some documents submitted to me when my friend, Mike barged in .
"Hey buddy"
"What's up" i greet
And he seat excitedly
"I met a lady yesterday and she was super gorgeous but at the end of the day I was able to collect a number and I said
" with this playboy attitude of yours which lady you can't win"
" stop that she's special and I'm done being a playboy"
" but you know that most girls don't date a guy like you, a man with a playboy history can't be easily trusted. if she discover you are a playboy, you will be dumped"I said
" you won't tell her would you"
" no but when one of your exes appear, she will dump you", I said
" well I won't let that happen" he saw a ring on my finger and froze
" Are you married or you have a fiance?"
I said, "I'm married yesterday "
"what!!!, you didn't invite me"
we just did it in the bureau office"I said
"so does that mean you have gotten over Lisa, your first love"
and my face hardened,
"yes I've forgotten about that gold digging bitch who hurt my parent and hurt me for a richer man now, I'm now a richest man in this country and the top three in the world if she ever comes back I won't accept her and he sighed
" well at least you are married to be sure you have moved on.I have to be going " he said . when he senses tension around me after he is gone. I buried myself in work and time passed by quickly. I step out with the remaining document and headed to the parking lot and drove my car home when I arrived, I met the place silent and no food on the table I called the maid and asked her if the madam is around and she said no. I didn't care I ordered her to prepare food for me and she did I ate my dinner and went up to continue my remaining work then few minutes later, I heard a footsteps and I know it her, the maid was telling her that this the way to our room but she said no that she wanted a room of her own and I ignored everything just focusing on what I was doing and she told the maid tomorrow brings her bag to her room.
Maria's POV
I arrive late intentionally because I don't didn't want to cook for anybody I was climbing up the stairs when a maid told me that this is the way our room i ignored he and told her to get me my bags that's in my car tomorrow and I went inside, take a fresh bath and sleep off since we are married against my wish that is his own cup of tea
Chris POV:
The sunlight couldn't let me sleep, so I woke up, prepared for the project I was gonna handle. After dressing up and stepping out of my room, I glanced at the room beside me - still tightly shut.
"She might still be sleeping," I thought.
I went down, took a coffee prepared by the maids, finished it, grabbed my suitcase, and off I went. I arrived at my company; several workers were already standing, bowing as I passed. I just nodded in returned and went straight to my office.
My assistant reported things that were going on: "Boss, the new jewelry director will be resuming next week." I said okay...
"Boss, you are going to attend a red ball party."
I was like "I don't want to attend" He told me it was a very important event because I am going to meet one of the important investors there, and I agreed.
But he told me, "Boss, you need to come with your partner." I said, "Partner? Is it compulsory?" He said, "yes, the investor wants to see you and your partner to be assured the investment is gonna be from a responsible man.
"I am not responsible?" I said, "Look at what I've built so far..."
He said, "Calm down, just do it. You know how important this project is to us."
I said alright, I will think about it.
I went out and sat at my table... "Where am I supposed to get a partner?" I suddenly remembered I have a wife at home... but will she come? Because she dislikes me as much as she dislikes this marriage...
I thought, "Should I talk to her parents to force her?" Hm, yes... instead of going there to receive insult and slap from her, I should just call her parents... they know a way to persuade her...
I thought, "Hm, what a genius man you are." I praised myself... "Imagine her face is gonna be red and boiling with smoke coming out of her ear..." and I laughed while imagining that thought.
