I was able to persuade Dalia to keep her mouth shut around anyone who might be interested in my condition. Despite the fact that Dalia did not relish the prospect of leaving me here, she still had to. I waited for Farrell all night so that I could speak with him; perhaps he was already at ease after returning home. However, he never returned home.
It's been two days, and Dalia has been constantly checking in on me whenever she had a spare moment. Dalia was the second elite member of our pack, and as a result, she was unquestionably strong. So, it was only natural that everyone was counting on her to train new cubs in fighting techniques.
My days always seemed to pass by so fast, and it was disheartening to realize that I couldn't do much to improve this house. I instantly pulled out my phone and texted Farrell, who was still my spouse and thus had the right to know where I was at any given time. Despite the fact that I'm not convinced he cares about me.
After sending him a message, I immediately grabbed my jacket and hopped in a taxi to get to our pack's place, which was a short distance away. Even though we were never allowed to be in our wolf form when we were in close proximity to the cities, our pack did organize a once-a-month trip to the jungle for us.
"Thank you!" I told the driver happily. It just so happened that my family owned a significant quantity of deep woods in the places where our pack was living. Despite the fact that they are already involved in people's business on a daily basis, my father believes that it would be wonderful to have a safe space for everyone.
"Ida!" Jeff sprang up and hugged me as soon as he saw me. He was the one on the watch today, so he was able to see me even though he was a long way away.
"Jeff! How are you!" I returned his hug with a smile. It was the smell of the woods that first crawled up my nostrils, and it immediately brought back fond memories. There were no large woods in the vicinity of the site where Farrell's mansion was constructed.
"I'm sorry I couldn't attend your wedding," Jeff murmured about being depressed, and I just touched his shoulder.
"It's ok. Where's Dalia?" Then he pointed to a building in the woods after I asked. I gave him a kind nod before walking away. Oh, I couldn't wait to see what would happen. Jeffrey Anderson was one of my most trusted friends, and I was quite close to him. When we were sent into the jungle, it was only because of his abilities that we all survived. Despite this, he was unable to compete in the elite contest owing to his illness.
I'm still standing outside the building, but I could immediately hear the children yelling at each other. I dashed into the building but my heart started racing when I felt a touch on my elbow.
"What the— What are you doing here?" I asked after noticing Farrell, who was staring me down with his threatening glare. When he started tightening his grip on my hand, I couldn't help but gulp. There was a person who passed past us, and I did everything I could to appear happy.
"Did I give you permission? Huh—" He came to a screeching halt when he got closer to me and took a sniff of the air. When I noticed his eyes became a brilliant shade of gold, I gripped his palm hard.
"Let's go home," I spoke in hushed tones and pulled him as hard as I possibly could. Fortunately, he appears to have been preoccupied with pondering, so I was able to pull him without difficulty.
"Ida? Did you see Dalia?" Jeff started walking towards us, and I had to come to a halt. I gave him a friendly grin before shaking my head.
"There's an emergency at our house so— Farrell!" When Farrell quickly grabbed Jeff's collar and smelled him, I screamed in response. No, he couldn't behave in this manner here.
"We're going now!" I screamed in order to get both of their attention at the same time. Jeff was fixed on Farrell, who was looking back at him with a scathing expression on his face. I dragged Farrell outside the main gate as soon as I realized a fight was about to erupt.
"Is that what you came here for? Huh!?" I immediately looked around to see if there was anyone from my pack around, scared that they would witness what's happening to me right now when Farrell suddenly wrapped his arm around my neck and slammed so hard at his sports car.
"W- What are you saying? Could you please, r-release me?" Even when I tried to sneer, his gaze was far more powerful than my efforts. He glared at me aggressively for a few seconds before releasing his grip on my neck. His grip on my wrist became increasingly strong as he pulled me to the other side of the car.
"Ahh!" When he opened the shotgun door and threw me inside, I screamed in shock. Fortunately, the seat was too soft, and I didn't get any injuries as a result. He walked up to the car and slammed the door in my face before getting into the driver's seat.
I was on the verge of praying for my life when he stepped on the gas so hard and his sports vehicle began to accelerate at such a high rate. Dear God, I've never been a fan of fast cars since they always made me feel like I was going to hurl up everything I ate. My breath caught in my throat once more when he pulled up outside the gate and I could finally make out the large, lonely mansion in the distance.
"Come here!" The widening of my eyes occurred when Farrell quickly opened the car door instead of opening the large gate to allow his vehicle to enter. He leaned forward to undo my seatbelt before pulling me outside the door angrily.
"F- Farrell, what did I do?" I asked as I began to sense his great resentment toward me and questioned. He came to a complete stop and gazed at me with a gloomy expression.
"Stop talking!" He roared, and I jumped to my feet as he yelled. The man continued to drag me by gripping my wrist so firmly that I could already feel the bones in my wrist being broken once more.
"What…" When Farrell dragged me into the nearest bathroom, I said in a hushed tone. He compelled me to walk on the bathtub before turning on the water in the shower.
"Farrell!" I shouted as he turned the shower head so that it was towards my face. I did everything I could to keep the water from getting into my face, which became much more difficult when I felt his palm securely squeezing mine. Despite my attempts to scream, the amount of water that was hitting my face was causing me to become out of breath. I'm about to drown...
"You should learn that this is not your home anymore. There would be consequences if you disobeyed me again!" After placing the shower head above my head and leaning forward to whisper, he hissed. What exactly did I do?
"You wouldn't get out of this house without my permission. You wouldn't meet anyone without my permission. You will stay here until I say so. Do you understand?!" After grabbing both cheeks so strongly, he yelled at me again exactly in my face.
"I hate your smell…" He spoke in hushed tones before moving his hand to the collar of my blouse. I could feel tears starting to fall down my cheeks, but I am confident that he couldn't see them because of the water on my face.
"Farrell!" After he tore my shirt to shreds, I screamed. My hands quickly raced to my breasts as he looked down at me with blank stares.
"Learn from your mistake, Isabella," he murmured to me, and my heartbeat slowed for a split second when I heard him say my name for the first time. I knew this shouldn't be how I was feeling right now, but I couldn't stop myself from beaming with delight at the thought that he recognized my voice.
"Stay in here and don't do anything stupid again," He stated this before going out of the bathroom and leaving me looking like a sopping wet duck in this tub. Whatever happens, everything will be finished when the time comes.
"Dalia? What are you doing here?" After I got out of my room, I asked about it. Dalia texted me unexpectedly and informed me that she would be arriving here; thank goodness she gave me a heads-up. So, I still had plenty of time to change out of my dripping clothes.
