"Master, this attire is inefficient for combat," Luna stated flatly.
She was standing in front of a full-length mirror in the VIP lounge of the Golden City Mall. Alex had forced her to change out of her tactical combat suit.
Now, she was wearing a white summer dress and strappy sandals. With her silver hair and cold expression, she looked like an ice princess. Heads were turning everywhere she walked.
"We aren't in a war zone, Luna," Alex said, sitting on a velvet sofa while sipping tea. "If you walk around with a tactical vest and a knife on your thigh, people will call the police. You need to blend in."
Luna frowned slightly. She felt naked without her armor. "I am exposed. My reaction time is reduced by 0.2 seconds in heels."
"You look great," Alex laughed. "Clerk, wrap up everything she tried on. All of it."
The sales clerk was trembling. "Y-Yes, sir! That comes to $85,000!"
Alex tossed his Black Card. "Make it quick."
As the clerk ran to process the payment, a loud voice echoed from the entrance.
"Well, well! What do we have here?"
A young man in a flashy red suit walked in, followed by four burly bodyguards. He had the arrogant swagger of someone whose father had too much money and not enough discipline.
This was Young Master Chen, a notorious playboy in the city.
Chen's eyes locked onto Luna. He licked his lips. "I've seen a lot of models, but you... you are top tier."
He walked right up to Luna, ignoring Alex completely.
"Hey beautiful," Chen grinned, reaching out to touch Luna's shoulder. "Why are you shopping with this nobody? Come with me. I'll buy you the whole store."
Luna didn't move. She didn't blink. Her eyes darted to Alex, waiting for a command.
"Don't touch her," Alex said without looking up from his magazine.
Chen stopped. He turned to Alex, sneering. "Excuse me? Do you know who I am? My dad owns this mall! Get lost before I have my guards break your legs."
Chen turned back to Luna and reached for her hand. "Come on, sweetie, let's go—"
"Luna," Alex said softly.
"Yes, Master?"
"He's annoying. Teach him some manners. But don't kill him... too much paperwork."
"Affirmative."
WHOOSH.
Before Chen's fingers could graze Luna's skin, she moved.
She grabbed Chen's wrist.
CRACK.
"AAAAHH!" Chen screamed as his wrist was bent backward at an unnatural angle.
The four bodyguards roared. "Let him go!"
They charged at Luna.
It was a slaughter.
Luna spun, her dress flowing like water. She kicked the first guard in the throat. THUD. He collapsed, gagging. She ducked a punch from the second guard and drove her elbow into his ribs. CRUNCH. She swept the legs of the third guard and stomped on his knee.
In three seconds, four massive men were groaning on the floor.
Luna stood in the middle of the carnage, not a single hair out of place. She looked at the sobbing Young Master Chen.
"Threat neutralized," Luna said calmly. "Awaiting further orders."
The entire store was dead silent. The sales clerk dropped a box.
Alex stood up and adjusted his suit. He walked over to Chen, who was clutching his broken wrist on the floor.
"You said your dad owns this mall?" Alex asked.
"Y-Yes!" Chen cried, snot running down his face. "He'll kill you! You're dead!"
Alex sighed. "System, how much is the Golden City Mall worth?"
[Valuation: $2 Billion.] [Host Balance: Infinite.]
"I'll be taking that, then," Alex muttered.
He looked down at Chen.
"Tell your dad to check his bank account in ten minutes. I'm buying the mall. And the first thing I'm doing as the new owner..."
Alex's eyes went cold.
"...is banning you for life."
