Chapter 1 - Prologue: A Record of Power

Recorded in the Ninth Archive of the Central Continent

Author Unknown

In this world, power has always been measurable.

From the moment a child draws their first breath, the flow of Essence within their body determines the limits of their future. Essence is the foundation of all strength circulating through the Channels, gathering within the Core, and refined through deliberate cultivation.

Those born with wide channels advance swiftly.

Those with stable cores endure longer paths.

Those lacking both are deemed untalented and cast aside.

This has been the order of the world for countless generations.

Cultivation is not a blessing, but a trial.

Each realm requires the tempering of flesh, spirit, and will. Advancement brings greater strength, yet failure invites crippling backlash,or death. For this reason, many never rise beyond the lower realms, regardless of effort.

Talent opens the gate.

Persistence decides how far one may walk.

Beyond mortals stand those known as the Blessed, individuals who have received divine favor. Their growth defies common logic, their limits unclear even to the greatest sects.

Yet even among the Blessed, there exists an anomaly.

A contradiction recorded only in fragmented accounts and unreliable testimony.

A man who possesses no cultivation.

A man who wields no technique.

A man who cannot use power.

And yet,

All power flows through him.

He is known by many names across the continents.

Some call him The Infinite Vessel, claiming he carries authority beyond the gods.

Others refer to him as The Empty Sovereign, a being filled with power yet incapable of action.

In more fearful regions, he is whispered of as The Giver of Calamity.

It is said that those who receive his blessing rise beyond their destined limits.

It is also said that those who rely upon it meet tragic ends.

The truth remains uncertain.

What is known is this:

The Vessel does not cultivate.

The Vessel does not fight.

The Vessel does not interfere without reason.

Power bestowed by him does not belong to him.

And once given, it cannot be reclaimed.

Whether he is a remnant of divine error or a punishment imposed upon the world itself remains a matter of debate among scholars.

This record makes no judgment.

It merely states the facts as they are known.

In a world governed by talent and effort,

There exists a man with infinite power,

And no way to use it.
