It was just as I thought; this weapon wasn't anything special. Weapon making was harder than just adding a few materials; the composition has to be just right. I needed more practice in creating weapons. I also needed to study more.

At least this way, I will know the quality of the weapons I created with my appraisal eyes. After a while, I started to feel a sharp headache and the feel of something wet running down my face. I immediately touched my face to see blood on my fingertips. Blood was running from my eyes.

Using my appraisal skill was taxing on my already weakened state. Seeing this, I immediately deactivated the eyes, and my irises returned to normal. After that, I climbed into bed to get some rest for the day.

….

The next morning, I went to see my father in his room while my mother was in the shower. He had just gotten out of the shower himself and was now getting dressed to go to work.

"What is it, son?" he asked as he raised his leg to put on his socks. He seemed to be in a hurry.

"I have a business proposal for you."

Immediately, he paused and spared me a glance. I then revealed the dagger I was hiding behind my back.

He looked a bit confused, so I began to explain.

"This is a dagger I made. It's part of my ability. Right now, it's not the best quality weapon, but it will improve as I learn. But still, I wish to start a business selling the weapons that I am able to create. There is sure to be at least a few heroes who are in need of my weapons."

At this point, he had stopped getting dressed and instead took a seat on the bed.

"I see. But it's illegal to sell weapons to people or heroes personally. If you want to do something like this, you have to have a contract with a guild or at least a few guilds. You'll sell the weapon to the guild, and they'll sell it to their members or anyone with a hero license. But the problem with this is that guilds are very picky with the people they buy from. There are a lot of wannabe blacksmiths selling weapons and items that aren't up to par. You will need to pass their weapon's test at least."

That made sense; there are a lot of people with skills that allowed them to make various weapons. Plus, there are various technologies able to create weapons from the crystals collected from beasts. These weapons were called beast weapons.

Plus, there were quite a few people able to cultivate their soul weapons. Soul weapons are weapons that are created from one's ability. They are cultivated inside one's body. For some people, it occurs naturally when they awaken. One example of this was Sophia.

But there was another way of getting your soul weapon. That is by consuming a special pill.

Though there was only a 15% success rate.

After consuming the pill, it is up to the individual to cultivate their soul weapon. The weapon's strength will depend on the success of the cultivation.

It happens after a span of about three months. If the person can't manifest their weapons by then, it means they have failed.

"Let me see the dagger you have in your hand," my father said with an outstretched hand.

He took the weapon and began examining it.

"To be honest, I don't know that much about weapons," saying that, he then raised the dagger high and slammed it down against the bedframe.

A loud crack was heard, and when we examined the weapon afterwards, there was a large chip on the blade. This was to be expected since the weapon was mostly made of silver. Only the tip was made of Null-Iron.

Seeing the sight, my father shook his head.

"This won't do at all. But I have to say, I am impressed. Regardless of the result, you managed to create a weapon without having any training. I'm impressed."

"Yes, but it will still take me a while to create a weapon up to par," I said, but for some reason, my father still had a gleam in his eyes.

"Tell you what, I have a buddy that owes me a favor. He's a craftsman for a very high-ranked guild. He's from their weapon's department. He helps create weapons from beast cores and other alloys found on different planets. If I get him to take you under his wing, would you be able to create a better weapon?" he asked.

A tutor to help me create weapons?

That was exactly what I needed right now. There was a lot of science involved in weapon making, so this wouldn't just up my knowledge, but it could also increase my proficiency.

"Yes, I'm certain of it. If I have the right tutor, then I will be able to create even stronger weapons." I said.

My father looked at me for a few seconds without saying a word. He then reached for his phone and began dialing a number. His voice then took on a very business-like tone as he spoke on the phone.

"Hello, Jeffrey, it's Jonathan. You remember that favor you owe me? Oh, you don't remember? Well, I have a few documents that might jog your memory. I'm sure your boss or even the government might find it interesting… Oh, that's nice to hear. I'm real glad you remembered, Jeff. Anyways, I need you to make accommodations for my son. I'll message you the details."

My father then hung up the phone while wearing a wide grin on his face. He then walked over to me and rested his hand on my shoulder.

"We're all set. I was saving that favor up for a while incase I was in a tricky situation so make the best of this opportunity."
