The room went quiet except for the sound of papers being shuffled. Leaders and assistants alike were comparing pictures of Earth taken via satellite, to pictures of Brishan where the Earth cities had fractured.
Nieto took his glasses off and rubbed his face between his hands. "What happened to the ships in the gulf? I don't see them here."
Mia pointed to a spot in the ocean near Riemskin city. "From what we have gathered, most of the ships in the Gulf of Mexico and those in the Atlantic merged into the Cassianic sea. Of the five ships we contacted, three of them had damaged cargo."
Nieto closed his eyes and rubbed his fingers along the top of his head as if trying to ward away a headache. "I see." He turned to Milano. "Have the the fifth fleet escort those ships to the largest port available. From what I can recall, Captain Midelgard was in charge of the carrier, is he back with his fleet?"
Milano nodded. "Yes Sir."
"Then have the fleet escort those ships."
