City lights blurred as the tires screamed against the wet asphalt. Headlights followed too closely, too deliberately. Rana had one chance to make it out alive—and he wasn't letting go of the wheel.
Impact. A deafening crash. The world flipped upside down. Rana's last thought before darkness swallowed him: "It's over…"
The car flipped through the air before hitting the ground. Glass shattered, metal crunched, and the vehicle finally gave in to the laws of physics. When the dust and smoke settled, a man from the lorry emerged to inspect his work. Dead. He confirmed it to his boss: Rana was gone.
But somewhere inside the chaos, life lingered.
At Ngoma Hospital, Dr. Neli adjusted her gloves, eyes catching the paramedics rushing in. She didn't know him yet, but the way he was carried toward her made her determined: I won't let him die.
And even before words returned, fate began its dangerous work.
