The next morning…
Rosie was getting ready when her phone started ringing.
Ronnie: Good morning, sleepyhead!
Rosie: Ronnie, why are you calling me so early?
Ronnie: Early? It's already morning! Anyway, did my brother come to your house yesterday?
Rosie paused for a moment.
Rosie: Yes. He came to take you home, and then he forgot his keys.
Ronnie: Oh, really? And did he give you something?
Rosie looked at the bouquet resting on her table.
Rosie: How do you know about that?
Ronnie started laughing.
Ronnie: So he actually gave it to you!
Rosie: Ronnie! What is wrong with your brother? And why did he invite me for lunch?
Ronnie: Maybe he wants to spend some time with you.
Rosie: Please! I can barely tolerate him for five minutes.
Ronnie: Then why are you still looking at those flowers?
Rosie immediately looked away from the bouquet, even though Ronnie couldn't see her.
Rosie: I'm not looking at them!
Ronnie: Fine, fine. Just remember, lunch is tomorrow. And please don't fight with my brother for once.
Rosie: No promises!
Rosie ended the call and looked at the bouquet again.
"That annoying Josh," she murmured.
But after a moment, she picked up one of the flowers and smiled faintly before realizing what she was doing.
"Wait. Why am I smiling?"
