A Name Written In The Wind

It was Ji Chaen's first day in China.

As soon as she stepped out of the airport, she placed her bag beside her, took a deep breath, and looked up at the sky.

Blue. Vast. Free.

Exactly how her heart felt.

"The air here feels different,"

she whispered to herself,

"as if it's telling me — you belong to yourself now."

A cool breeze played with her hair,

life moved swiftly on the streets,

and beneath her feet, the earth felt steady and reassuring.

Ji Chaen smiled.

This wasn't just a new country.

It was her freedom.

Tomorrow was her interview —

an internship at a well-known company.

A company everyone talked about,

but whose CEO, Mr. Lu,

no one had ever really seen.

"They say he never shows himself,"

someone had told her.

"But when he does… he leaves an impression."

Ji Chaen wasn't interested in the CEO.

She just wanted the job.

The next day arrived.

The morning was rushed — and Ji Chaen was running late.

As she hurried toward the company building—

Crash.

"Hey! Can't you watch where you're going?"

She looked up angrily.

A man stood in front of her —

sharp eyes, a simple suit,

and confidence written all over his face.

"You were the one glued to your phone,"

Ji Chaen snapped back.

"Oh really?"

he smirked.

"You seem new to China.

You should learn to follow the rules here."

Her eyes narrowed.

"Teach me rules?

Learn some manners first, Mr… whoever you are."

He stepped a little closer,

mischief dancing in his eyes.

"You should remember names.

They might be useful someday."

She gave him a sarcastic smile.

"Trust me, there's nothing about you worth remembering."

They glared at each other,

then walked away in opposite directions.

Yet Ji Chaen felt something strange in her chest.

"What an irritating man,"

she muttered.

The man stopped after a few steps,

turned back, and quietly said—

"Ji Chaen… interesting."

Her name.

How did he know it?

She turned around,

but he had already disappeared into the crowd.

What she didn't know was this—

the CEO she was about to face in her interview,

and the man she had just collided with,

were the same person.

Mr. Lu.

And the story that began today

was not just about an internship—

it was the beginning of love."
