Chapter 7 - Driving a Mercedes GLE Freshman Year—Senior's Jealousy

As the name suggested, after using the Luxury Car Lottery Ticket, the system would randomly select a luxury car priced between $45,000 and $450,000 and deliver it to Arden through legal means.

The more expensive the car, the lower the probability of drawing it—same principle as gacha rates in mobile games.

Limited edition sports cars with rare availability were extremely unlikely to be drawn.

Arden didn't know much about cars. After all, as an ordinary person, his understanding of luxury brands was limited to Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi.

Thinking pessimistically, he'd at worst draw a $45k car, which was already considered solid in most people's perception.

Definitely fine for daily use, and a freshman didn't need to be too flashy.

"Draw!"

The colorful wheel spun rapidly before his eyes, gradually slowing, and finally the pointer stopped in a relatively narrow zone.

Arden was immediately thrilled—this meant he'd at least not drawn the worst tier.

[Congratulations, host! You drew a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4MATIC Luxury Model - Black, MSRP: $125,000!]

Looking at the car's holographic projection on the interface, Arden was very satisfied.

A black mid-size SUV, its exterior combining business, stability, and power, full of luxury.

It used a 2.5L turbocharged engine with a 48V mild hybrid system.

Daily driving was comfortable, and power was abundant even under demanding conditions.

Most importantly, the spacious interior—perfect for taking girls on road trips.

Ah, Mercedes-Benz is doing well too, even getting to rub shoulders with me, tycoon Arden West.

Soon, someone with a professional headshot as their profile pic added Arden on Instagram.

[Derek Morrison]: Hello, Mr. West. I'm Derek Morrison, sales manager at the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Bayside University District. You can just call me Derek.

[WestOfEden]: Hey.

[Derek Morrison]: The car you ordered is ready. You can come for inspection and pickup anytime. We'll assign our dealership's star sales associate to serve you throughout. When's convenient for you? Should we schedule a time?

[WestOfEden]: Tomorrow morning, around 9:30. I'll head over after class.

Tomorrow was still an 8 AM class.

Theoretically, Arden could skip it, sleep in, and receive the system's +$150 plus knowledge infusion.

However, this wasn't practically feasible, because tomorrow morning's class was C++, taught by an exceptionally strict middle-aged professor known as the "Iron Lady," one of the CS Department's "Four Infamous Grade Killers."

This meant taking classes with these four professors often led to failing and retakes.

Not only that, attendance was extremely strict—even requiring check-ins during the break between lecture periods!

Truly abnormal.

The good news was that among the week's classes, only Thursday morning required suffering under the Iron Lady.

Other mornings either had no classes or could be skipped freely.

Ever since learning the system would eliminate indulgence's negative effects, Arden had established his four-year college class strategy:

Required electives optional, optional electives required.

On the other end of the chat, Derek couldn't help being stunned looking at the message.

Class?

So this Mr. West who'd ordered the top-spec Mercedes GLE was still a student?!

Derek hadn't paid attention when processing paperwork earlier, and only now realizing it made him click his tongue in surprise.

Must be a college student.

Driving such an expensive car before graduation—definitely some rich heir.

Though it wasn't as rare as before for college students to drive to campus, it still wasn't common.

After all, for young people who liked road trips, having a car versus not having one made all the difference.

Didn't even need to be fancy—any car that could haul luggage and friends or a girlfriend to the train station beat lugging big bags and suitcases taking Ubers or subways.

In rainy or snowy weather, a car's advantages were even more obvious.

On a muddy rainy day, when invited out, would a goddess prefer getting picked up downstairs from her dorm and arriving clean at the destination, or trudging through puddles and cramming onto public transit with you looking disheveled?

The answer was self-evident.

As for this Mr. West about to pick up a top-spec $125k Mercedes GLE...

As long as his other qualities weren't terrible, he'd definitely be a hit at school.

Derek couldn't help feeling envious. As a dealership sales manager, he was doing quite well, but when he'd been in school, he was a naive kid with nothing, not even daring to talk to pretty girls.

Having the resources to enjoy life during youth's prime years was life's greatest fortune.

After envying for a bit, Derek composed himself and went to arrange tomorrow's reception.

"Scarlet Hayes, come here a moment."

The girl he called was leaning against a Mercedes E-Class sedan, filming promo content for TikTok.

The girl wasn't tall, but her figure was incredibly curvy and sexy, with a white blouse and black pencil skirt. Every curve in key areas seemed about to burst her clothes.

Her stunning hourglass legs were a true weapon—compared to boring stick legs.

Her ample assets, a rough estimate would be at least D-cup.

Her alluring looks were as captivating as a vixen.

Her name was Scarlet Hayes. She'd only interned at this dealership a few months but had already become the most popular salesperson.

Her youthful face and ample figure provided the hardware foundation for her popularity.

But she didn't simply rely on sex appeal for sales.

On the contrary, Scarlet—a Pennbrook marketing graduate—had strong professional fundamentals, a cheerful and outgoing personality, and could even be described as fiery.

Her business capabilities were extremely strong.

In Derek's opinion, this girl was fascinating.

She liked dressing beautifully and was enthusiastic about filming TikToks for engagement.

But she maintained her boundaries, refusing to let any client touch her.

In her own blunt words: "I like the feeling of guys wanting me but not being able to have me."

What a little devil!

As for boyfriends, she'd never had one.

She hadn't felt anything for the guys she'd met—it had to be love at first sight.

She stated that if she really met someone she liked, there'd be no need for the guy to make the first move. She'd pounce like a hungry tiger and devour him completely.

Truly a strong-willed girl.

Ever since Scarlet started interning here, her monthly performance had been excellent.

Truly worthy of being a star salesperson.

"Derek, you were looking for me?"

After finishing a TikTok, Scarlet swayed her shapely hips toward Derek and asked casually.

"Yeah, there's a client. Tomorrow morning at 9:30, you'll be his sales associate."

"Guy or girl?"

"Guy, very young, probably still in school. Might even be your fellow alum."

Hearing this, Scarlet immediately perked up: "Got a photo?"

"No..."

"Then at least you know his exact age, right?"

"Let me check... The client info says he's eighteen... Wait, eighteen?!"

Derek had originally thought it was someone nearing graduation whose family bought him a car, but damn—only a freshman!

"Oh my~ An actual freshman. I'll have to give him a proper reception."

Scarlet licked her lips, her foxy eyes gleaming with anticipation.

I, Scarlet Hayes, love teasing innocent freshmen the most.
