Chapter 50 - Chapter 50

A}Sera wanted to attack first but she had to give orders first. She turned to the stage five girls and shouted her orders to them.

"Try to treat the wounded. Stopping the bleeding is enough. We shall be leaving as soon as this is done."

She did not wait to see if they moved but it was obvious everyone was mad. Even these stage five girls felt the most useless and the chance to prove themselves was all they sked for and here it was.

Sera gave a side glance as she saw them move. Kaelen appeared next to her and he seemed to be in the same state as her.

They both had lost to the kid whose life and death were unknown. The two drew their swords and faced the deer that was now looking around for something to ram into.

Its look of indifference alone was enough to send their blood boiling. It was calmer than it was before thanks to Lyren's punch but that was also the reason they now stood a chance.

Just as they were about to charge, the spearman stood next to Kaelen brandishing his spear.

He seemed to be much calmer than the two but no one knew of the turmoil that might have been going in his mind because in his mind, he had not just witnessed a fellow student get thwarted.

A tear dropped from his eye but he was quick to wipe it away before anyone could catch up to him.

He looked at the three who had just created a small tent and were giving Julia first aid. He then looked at the deer and he awaited no orders as he charged forward ignoring the duo.

"I will be a decoy. Make sure that your attacks count," he said as his spear lit up after giving them a side glance with burning eyes.

The deer saw a single attacking ant but it did not let its guard down anymore as it started charging too.

A ball of condensed wind appeared to float before its horns and it released it at the guy but when he disappeared from its line of sight, it was never going to find out as Its wind ball missed and it was slashed at by Kaelen.

The guy appeared below the deer skidding on the ground with his flaming spear as he pierced at the belly.

The deer did not sense him at all but it was lucky because of its defenses that the spear did no much damage other than causing a shallow wound.

The guy clicked because he knew that that was qualified to be a knock out hit had he not been weak. He gritted his teeth as he rolled sideways.

The deer screeched once again, as it did not understand how the human had appeared below it. They were very persistent creatures.

It turned its neck to look at the guy who had just gotten on his feet and he was already running away. The human was actually challenging its speed.

The deer turned its body and started chasing after the guy leaving behind it two armed opponents who had just gotten the time they needed to get their technique running.

The two charged at a speed that seemed to rival that it had shown before as they swung their swords down.

Kaelen and Sera were both of the ice elements users and their attacks could be described as pincer attacks. The two were the most dangerous in this battlefield yet the deer had shown them its back.

Well, they were going to capitalize on it mistake and turn it into a fortune for themselves. They reached the deer almost instantly and their swords seemed to radiate with a white sharpness that reflected sun rays.

One could assume that there were no accompanying elements in their attacks but when they swords landed on the tendons of both hind legs, victory was certain.

Their swords met no resistance at all as they slashed at the tendons and Sera's attack was deeper than Kaelen's. He was quick to note this but this was not time to be competitive or jealous as they retreated backwards.

The deer was still running when its hind legs gave in and its weight crumbled on itself. Its fore legs were still trying to head forwards but it was then it registered the pain of having its tendons severed.

Its screech was so loud that they had to cover their ears or else they were going to take damage. The spear guy though did not see it this way as he charged at the deer with his ears bleeding.

He brandished his spear right into the right eye of the helpless deer which could not even bring itself to conjure the wind from its horns.

It was just registering the pain from its legs when his spear pierced into the eyes causing an even louder scream.

Reflexively, the horns conjured wind on their own as it tried to blow the guy away but he was adamant and he did not let go of his spear until it came out on its own and he slid backwards, the spear on his back.

But that was not enough to quench his rage as he looked at the deer which had stopped blowing wind.

Its eye was closed and bleeding, to never see the light of the world again. He looked at the other open eye that did not carry any malice anymore but pleas for him not to do it again. He scoffed as he disappeared from its line of sight once again.

The deer screeched again and started sending wind balls once again as it tried to stand up only for it to fall back again and again.

This time, it did not want to kill but to escape but its legs had failed it. And for a split second, it saw a flash that was accompanied by a splitting pain and what came next was darkness.

It screeched so loudly but the guy did not seem to hear it as he gauged at the eye endlessly until the deer could no longer scream or even conjure wind.

Still, he did not think that that was enough but he knew that there was no way he was going to cause any damage elsewhere. The eyes were the only place he could attack.

He pulled his spear out as he started to walk back to the tent. His movements were zombi-like as blood dripped from his ears.

The duo looked at him somehow horrified because none of them knew he was capable of the feat he they witnessed. The deer was almost done anyways and with it blinded, it was nothing more than a punching bag for them to vent on.

The guy went to the tent and sat at the base of a tree where he placed his spear on the ground.

He looked around and saw Lyren had been placed on the baser of a tree with his head bandaged. He seemed to be still awake which was mysterious considering he had no cultivation.

Their eyes met for a brief moment and for the first time, there was no malice in his gaze.

Now, he could leave it to everyone. He looked at Julia who was still being treated and the amount of blood she bled was concerning. He could only hope that she was going to make it.

He wanted to ask them if they had given her the pills but he decided that that was overstepping and it was obvious that they had given her healing pills.

It was also his turn to take his pill as he removed a white pill from a pouch hidden in his robes and he swallowed it.

He could not hear anything yet but his only concern was that he had carried out his revenge. Now all that remained was for the deer to meet its end. Again, his eyes trailed towards Lyren.

He was somehow interesting.

Lyren looked at their victory and he could understand their relief but he could not help but have a familiar feeling.

Elyria was definitely being drawn. The destination was unknown but he had experienced it so many times that he could not mistake it.

It was obvious that the Elyria density was not the same as in the ruins but here in the woods it, was denser that the outside world.

He looked at the deer that was struggling to stand up and he realized that this was where the bad feeling was coming from.

This Black-horn gale deer was about to enter the 9th stage. He had felt the Elyria density increase and it could only mean one thing.

Why were they not noticing it? Were they really this naïve?

"Just kill the fucking animal already!" Lyren could not hold it back as he spoke out loudly for them all to hear but they turned their head towards him and Kaelen jested.

"Are you that scared at this creature at the end of its rope? I can end it with one swing as things stand now. I underst…"

"Fucking do it!"
