The battle on the Ninth Battlefield brought Bai Yue an astonishing harvest.
Most of the spoils obtained within the Three Thousand Black Hole Domain had already been distributed to the members of the Black Yuan Team. As for the remainder, Bai Yue had no intention of selling them. Instead, he directly transferred everything into his Original Universe, treating it as a fundamental accumulation for the future.
However, compared to ordinary spoils, the true value of this battle lay elsewhere.
Dozens of Champion-level Immortal Gods—their equipment, treasures, inheritances, and reserves—represented wealth that was practically immeasurable. And above all, Bai Yue had enslaved sixteen Champion-level powerhouses of the Mechanical Race Alliance.
To Bai Yue, these living Champions were far more valuable than any inanimate treasure.
He did not lack Hun Yuan units. Nor was he short of resources. Converting raw materials into usable value required time, effort, and complex transactions—things he found tedious. Living Champions, however, were immediate, strategic assets.
Inside his world ring, Bai Yue's Ji Ning clone sat upon a divine seat. Below him stood the sixteen Champions, respectfully kneeling.
After absorbing large quantities of Heaven-Mending Marrow, all of their divine bodies had fully recovered to peak condition. Only then did Bai Yue summon them together.
With a casual wave of his hand, the corpse of the Sky Horn Ant appeared in midair.
The moment it manifested, the enslaved Champions' gazes were drawn to it.
Soul enslavement did not erase memory or consciousness. Those enslaved retained all knowledge and experience, cultivating and thinking normally—except that their loyalty was absolute, directed entirely toward their master. It was precisely for this reason that many powerhouses would rather self-destruct than be enslaved. Once enslaved, even a Universe Lord could not resurrect them. There was no second chance.
"Do any of you recognize this lifeform?" Bai Yue asked calmly.
The sixteen Champions examined it carefully. After a long moment, they all shook their heads in unison.
Bai Yue felt a trace of disappointment. He had hoped that among these ancient beings—each having lived countless years—someone might know something. During the previous gathering with the Great Alliance Champions, he had already asked similar questions, only to receive the same answer.
On reflection, it was reasonable. If the Sky Horn Ant's secrets were widely known, they would not have remained hidden for so long.
"It seems I'll have to continue searching on my own," Bai Yue thought.
He did not dwell on it. Instead, he asked again, "Then tell me—on the Ninth Battlefield, have you encountered any strange places or anomalies?"
He pointed toward a Champion on the left.
"You first. Iron Fiber King."
One by one, the enslaved Champions reported what they knew.
Chaotic Sand Sea. Bone Forest. Fire Spirit Abyss.
The Ninth Battlefield was filled with abnormal regions, but one name appeared again and again, spoken by most of them with caution.
Divine Territory.
Divine Territory was universally acknowledged as the most mysterious location on the Ninth Battlefield. No one knew when it first appeared—it already existed when the Lian Xing Clan still controlled the Wanbao Secret Realm.
The name itself was no exaggeration.
From ordinary Undying to invincible Champions, countless powerhouses had entered. None had uncovered its true nature. Many became trapped inside, unable to escape.
Most who entered would lose all sense of direction and unknowingly wander back out. Others seemed to go deeper, remaining lost indefinitely. There was even a recorded case of an Undying who had entered during the early Universal Era—long enough ago that he later broke through to become a Universe Exalt, yet still remained trapped within, occasionally transmitting messages through god-power avatars.
Such anomalies naturally drew the attention of Universe Lords.
Several descended personally, only to discover that even their mastery over time and space failed within the Divine Territory. One Universe Lord, possessing a clone, sent it inside—only for the clone to become trapped. After endless years, he ultimately dispersed the clone and abandoned the exploration.
Because of this, despite its relatively low death rate, Divine Territory was ranked as one of the most dangerous and mysterious places on the Ninth Battlefield.
Some who entered were never heard from again.
"Divine Territory…" Bai Yue murmured inwardly. I'll have to see it for myself.
After resting for several days, Bai Yue left again for the Lian Xing Continent, using the information provided by the enslaved Champions to investigate dangerous regions one by one.
At the same time, far away within the Virtual Universe, in a vast and solemn hall—
One hundred and eight ancient thrones stood in perfect order. Each throne was occupied by a powerful existence—some Human, some alien—every one radiating terrifying authority.
"The reason we've gathered," said a tall Human clad in purple armor, his helmet marked with a strange cross-shaped star, "is that according to Outside Territory Battlefield military records, the Human World Lord Bai Yue has successfully killed multiple Champion-level High and even Champion Peak Immortal Gods."
The hall erupted instantly.
"Impossible."
"A World Lord killing Champions?"
"I request access to the military surveillance footage."
Objections echoed from all sides.
The purple-armored figure raised his hand slightly.
"Based on strength alone, I agree—this sounds unreasonable. However, the military merits are registered under Bai Yue's name. That means, regardless of method—treasures, secret techniques, or otherwise—he was the one credited with killing Champions. According to Great Alliance regulations, once this threshold is met, he qualifies for absorption."
A sharp voice cut in.
"Unless," said a braided lifeform with green tentacle-like hair, "it was actually a protector who acted. If such a being was unregistered, the system would still assign merit to Bai Yue. I therefore request to review the battle footage."
Many nodded in agreement.
"Venerable Yezheng, retrieve the footage," several demanded.
The purple-armored Human shook his head.
"The permission level for all of Bai Yue's combat recordings exceeds ours. None of us have clearance."
Silence fell.
"What?"
"How is that possible?"
"He's not even a Venerable!"
The hall descended into confusion.
"These permissions," the purple-armored Human said quietly, "were personally set by Primordial Chaos City Lord."
Instantly, the hall went silent.
Understanding dawned in every gaze.
Within the Great Alliance, no one questioned permissions set by Primordial Chaos City Lord.
"Any objections to absorbing Bai Yue?" the purple-armored Human asked.
"No objection."
"Seconded."
"Agreed."
The decision was unanimous.
"I will arrange an envoy team immediately."
Not long after, within Bai Yue's manor at Rain Phase Mountain—
"Your Highness," Butler Li Ya reported respectfully, "the Great Alliance envoy team has arrived."
"Oh?" Bai Yue raised an eyebrow.
Outside the gates stood nine Immortal Gods, their auras all unmistakably at Champion level.
A pink-armored Human woman stepped forward, smiling gently—yet irresistibly.
"Bai Yue," she said, "we are the Great Alliance's special envoys. We formally invite you to join."
Bai Yue smiled faintly. "Please, come inside."
Moments later, as he accepted—
Two dazzling stars condensed in midair, fusing into his bracer.
A vast Human radiance descended.
"Human Bai Yue," a voice resonated directly within his soul,
"Welcome to the Great Alliance."
Thus, Bai Yue formally stepped onto the Hongmeng stage.
