Part 6
The hour before the final lock-down was always the quietest, a temporary reprieve before the total darkness of the cell block descended. Felix was leaning against the wall of his bunk, deeply absorbed in the pages of a book.
He had always been an exceptionally smart student, the kind destined for success. His ambition had been clear a prestigious university and a career as a lawyer. That life now felt like a distant, cruel fantasy, replaced by the crushing uncertainty of prison
Reading was his most reliable form of escape, a mental barricade against the flood of negative thoughts especially the image of Hyunjin, who had become the relentless tormentor of his nightmares. Sometimes he would read so intensely that the words blurred and a dull headache settled behind his eyes
"Felix, don't you want to sleep yet?" Jae-bum asked, his voice soft enough not to carry
Felix carefully closed the book, placing it beside him and looked at his cellmate
"I just want to pass the time until they turn off the lights" Felix admitted, the truth hanging heavy between them
"Ya~ If you want to pass the time, let's just talk for now" Jae-bum suggested, offering a gentle smile
Felix shifted slightly a new curiosity overriding his reserve "You know, I see you're not the same Jae-bum I knew before. You were so quiet and reserved, almost completely silent but now you're so soft huh!"
That observation struck a nerve, bringing a slight flush to Jae-bum's cheeks "Just call me Hyung, you rude kid" he scolded lightly, employing the affectionate honorific usually used for an older brother or trusted senior
"Okay, Jae-bum Hyung. Is that better?" Felix replied, his voice warmer this time
But then Felix's expression broke into a genuine, wide smile! a smile so unguarded and bright that Jae-bum momentarily froze, momentarily stunned by the sheer vulnerability and sweetness of the expression
"I have a younger sister" Jae-bum finally said, the smile fading from his own face as he looked away
"You never mentioned that! What's her name? I don't think I've ever seen anyone visit you!" Felix pressed, his curiosity genuine and tender
"Her name is Jae-hee" Jae-bum said, his voice dropping as he continued, the weight of his past settling over the quiet cell "Our father was a very bad man to us. He constantly hit our mother, my sister and me. I was only 8 years old at the time and my sister was just 5. One night we decided we had to run away"
He paused, gathering a painful breath. "For a while we were actually happy without him. We felt safe but after a few months, he tracked us down. He immediately started beating our mother again. Then he came for me. At that moment my mother snapped. She attacked my father with a knife and... she killed him....My mother went to prison"
The memory was raw and fresh in his voice "My sister and I had nowhere to go. Everyone the neighbors, the community started calling us 'murderer's children' For a while we stayed with my aunt but after our mother died in custody, everyone completely turned their backs on us. We were eventually taken to an orphanage. After about a year there my sister was adopted by a wealthy family. They took her away. So I don't know where she is now or even if she remembers me, because she was so young at the time..."
Jae-bum finished the story, tears now streaming silently down his face, his broad shoulders trembling
Felix's own eyes welled up, his heart aching for the trauma his cellmate had endured. He instinctively moved closer to Jae-bum and placed his small, comforting hand flat against Jae-bum's broad back
"You are so much stronger than I ever imagined, Jae-bum Hyung" Felix whispered softly, his voice thick with empathy and respect
It was mealtime again. The chaotic noise of the mess hall faded into background static for Felix and Jae-bum as they sat together a small, shared sanctuary in the prison's hostile environment. Their dynamic had shifted. they were now like true friends, perhaps even silent saviors in each other's difficult lives. A sense of cautious calm settled over Felix when Jae-bum was near
Felix lifted a spoonful of food but as he moved to eat, a long strand of his blond hair fell forward and tickled his mouth
"Agh!!!" he groaned, instinctively recoiling from the errant strand
Jae-bum watched him, a low chuckle escaping his chest. The sight was undeniably endearing. He then reached across the table, his movements gentle and careful and pulled the stray strand away from Felix's face
"Here" Jae-bum said softly, his cheeks slightly flushed as he quickly took a plain black hair tie from his own wrist a tie that Felix suddenly realized was familiar and held it out
"Ha! I've been looking everywhere for that! I thought I'd lost it days ago" Felix exclaimed, genuinely delighted, taking the tie with a wide, bright smile
"Oh, this was yours?" Jae-bum scratched the back of his head awkwardly, quickly concocting a small white lie "I found it in the yard a while back so I just kept it with me"
"What a coincidence!" Felix announced with mock surprise, his eyes sparkling. He immediately gathered his long blond hair and began deftly twisting it up into a secure ponytail at the back of his head
Across the mess hall, Hyunjin watched the entire, quiet exchange
The easy intimacy Jae-bum's gentle touch, the shared laugh and the simple, affectionate act of handing over the hair tie acted like fuel to a furnace. Hyunjin's eyes were blazing with a barely contained hellfire. The sight of Felix's genuine, radiant smile a smile reserved only for Jae-bum made the older inmate clench his jaw so hard that the muscles in his face visibly ached. His leg bounced violently and aggressively under the table, a stark reflection of the turmoil he was trying to suppress
"Something happen? You look pissed, boss" one of the men at his table, recognizing the dangerous shift in his mood, ventured cautiously
"Shut up" Hyunjin snapped, his voice sharp and laced with pure, unfiltered anger. He immediately lowered his gaze and started aggressively eating his food
After finishing his meal, Felix walked toward the restroom to relieve himself. He zipped up his pants, turned around and walked a short distance down the corridor before his steps stopped dead. His heart immediately began to pound a terrifying rhythm in his chest. Hyunjin was there, leaning against the cold, institutional wall, his arms crossed, a dark, calculating intensity in his posture.
With legs that felt like jelly, Felix tried to bolt for the door but Hyunjin anticipating the move, smoothly moved to block the only exit
"What... are you doing!?" Felix stammered, his voice thin and trembling with fear
Hyunjin moved with sudden, brutal force, slamming Felix's body against the unforgiving wall. The impact knocked the wind out of Felix causing him to gasp in pain as his vision momentarily blurred
Then with an act of calculated cruelty, Hyunjin snatched the hair tie from Felix's hair, letting the blond locks cascade down around his face. Felix was left in stunned shock, his head throbbing, unable to lift his gaze
"I see you've been very happy lately" Hyunjin observed, his voice dangerously low. He moved closer, his powerful, muscular frame aggressively crowding Felix against the wall, stealing his space and air
"I want ... to leave!" Felix pleaded, pushing weakly with his hands against Hyunjin's solid chest in a futile attempt to create distance
But Hyunjin grabbed a handful of Felix's newly freed hair and yanked his head back, forcing Felix to look into his furious eyes "Ahh!! What are you doing? Let me go! You're hurting me!" Felix cried out
Like a wolf finally claiming its prey, Hyunjin suddenly crushed his lips against Felix's and closed his eyes. Felix's eyes flew wide with shock, the sheer violation overwhelming him. He mustered a burst of adrenaline and shoved Hyunjin away, staggering toward the door but Hyunjin's grip was instantaneous, he grabbed the mass of blond hair again, effortlessly pulling him back into place against the wall. When Hyunjin tried to kiss him again Felix frantically twisted and turned his head, desperately trying to stop the assault
"Stop! Stop it!" he screamed, tears streaming
Hyunjin's face was a mask of murderous fury. He slammed his large hand onto Felix's throat, not enough to stop his breathing but enough to crush his trachea against the wall "Who do you think you are to stop me from doing what I want, hmm?"
Tears poured down Felix's face. Then he risked one last, frantic attempt "Help!! Hel—"
Hyunjin immediately silenced him, covering Felix's mouth with his own, pressing in hard. Felix's fists pounded uselessly against Hyunjin's rigid back. Then Hyunjin's free hand dropped down and harshly groped Felix's dick through his uniform, causing a sharp, involuntary cry to escape past his attacker's lips. "Please, don't.... UHHH!!!" Felix begged only for Hyunjin to savage his exposed neck with a quick, painful bite, making him cry out
Hyunjin left wet, possessive kisses all over the skin he had exposed. His entire body was slick with exertion and aggression. Felix was too weak too shocked to fight back anymore. Then his eyes flew wide open as he felt something large and hard pressing against his own dick.
