He even imagined the poster already. Better use the one where I was walking on the sea.
Then Roger's booming voice shattered the dream.
"Kuahahaha! Kyle! That was awesome! Come back, we're having a party!"
Kyle bounced back onto the deck, still riding his high.
That night, a bonfire crackled on the deck. Fat slabs of meat sizzled over the flames, filling the air with mouth-watering aroma.
Roger and Rayleigh clinked their cups.
"To our future great pirate—Kyle's first victory!" Roger roared, draining his rum.
Kyle raised his own cup—
And saw orange juice.
"Minors don't drink," Rayleigh said calmly.
Kyle's soul left his body.
"Kuahahaha! Kids drink juice!" Roger laughed.
Kyle gulped his orange juice in silent rage.
Later, stuffed and content, Kyle stared at the wreckage floating far away.
"Captain… we kinda messed up."
"Huh?"
"I blew up their ship. That means their money, food, and treasure all sank with it."
Roger froze.
"…Oh."
Rayleigh facepalmed.
"Still!" Roger said loudly, wobbling a bit. "Your attack was flashy, but if you add this next thing, it'll be even stronger!"
"This next thing?"
"Haki!"
Kyle's eyes lit up.
Armament Haki?!
Roger clenched his fist. It turned black.
"Like this—"
BAM.
He punched the ship.
The punch went straight through the hull.
Sea water came flooding in.
Everyone froze.
Kyle slowly turned into a screaming statue.
"YOU IDIOT, CAPTAIN—!!! THE SHIP!!!"
"Uh… oops?"
Kyle slammed his hands onto the hole and used vibrations to force the water back out.
"RAYLEIGH! PATCH IT!"
Rayleigh sighed and went to get tools.
Meanwhile, Roger laughed so hard he almost fell over.
Kyle collapsed on the wet deck afterward, staring at the stars.
"…I have made a terrible life decision."
