Detailed Synopsis

[Prologue]

Jesus and Buddha, lamenting the tragedy of the world, decide to change the sad story of "Prince Hodong and Princess Nakrang," which has lingered in the hearts of the Korean people for two thousand years. They choose Minjun, an unknown writer with a pure heart, to provide new inspiration.

[Beginning of the Story]

Writer Minjun, tormented in a studio apartment in Daegu, meets his juniors, Gyeongpil and Yeongjin, who are researching peaceful unification. In a dream, he receives a revelation from Buddha. The Buddha commands him to write a novel featuring Gyeongpil and Yeongjin as the protagonists, transforming tragedy into hope.

[Transfer to the Past and Conflict]

As Minjun begins typing, the real-life Gyeongpil and Yeongjin are summoned to the era of Goguryeo and Nakrang in 32 AD. According to history, Princess Nakrang should have been killed by tearing up the Jamyeonggo, and Prince Hodong should have committed suicide.

[Climax: A New Choice]

The two leverage their specialized knowledge to develop a logical blueprint demonstrating how "peaceful unification" would offer greater economic and political benefits to both countries than war. On the brink of war, they persuade the kings of both countries to preserve the Jamyeonggo as a national treasure instead of destroying it, thus achieving peaceful unification.

[Ending]

The two marry not as tragic lovers but as symbols of peace. Their story is shared with the world through Minjun's novel, bringing comfort and hope to countless readers. In reality, Gyeongpil and Yeongjin also continue their peace research and witness the fruits of true love.
