Chapter 53: The True Monster Awakens
Our story begins where the previous chapter ended. The Kill Guild had successfully captured the White Ghost Knight.
Unknown Person:
"No one can save you from me now, White Ghost Knight. I never imagined capturing you would be this easy. The Hunter whose name dominates all of Korea... is about to lose his head in front of everyone.
Once we kill you, our Guild's name will spread across the entire country."
He says with a grin.
"What happened? Why are you so quiet?"
White Ghost Hunter:
"When your enemy is standing right in front of you, you should kill them immediately. Never give them a second chance... especially someone like me."
Unknown Person:
"Who do you think you are?"
His eyes turn crimson, and a blood-red aura erupts from his body.
"You don't even know who I am. This formation is draining every last bit of your energy."
White Ghost Hunter:
"I have no reason to know who you are. And when I'm about to kill someone, I don't waste time learning their name.
But all of you have forgotten one thing...
Do you know why everyone calls me the White Ghost Hunter?"
As soon as he finishes speaking, he shatters the powerful formation with ease.
White Ghost Hunter:
"I've been waiting for all of you.
So... how did you like my little act of pretending to be weak?"
Unknown Person:
"Impossible...! H-How is this possible? This formation can restrain even an SSS-Rank Hunter!"
Fear and panic cover his face. The members of the Kill Guild are completely stunned. None of them can believe what they are witnessing.
Unknown Person:
"W-Who are you... really?"
White Ghost Knight:
"I am your death.
And today... no one will escape."
Terrified, the unknown man shouts,
"Everyone! Attack him!"
But no one moves.
Not a single person takes even one step forward.
The unknown man looks around in disbelief as every member stands frozen in fear.
White Ghost Knight:
"Why are you all so scared?
I only broke one tiny little formation.
Was it really that special?
I'm standing here all alone, while all of you outnumber me. I thought you'd attack together...
Instead, you're already thinking about running away like cowards."
Unknown Person:
"We created that formation to trap a human... not a monster.
You're... a monster."
He says while trembling with fear.
White Ghost Hunter:
"I'm already bored of fighting people like you.
There's no fun in this anymore.
So... I'll kill all of you at once."
His eyes begin to glow with an overwhelming light.
"Before you die...
I'll show you one of my skills.
You will become the first humans on Earth to witness it."
At that moment, White Ghost Hunter slowly raises one hand toward the sky.
The sword that had been trapped inside the formation suddenly breaks free, flies through the air at incredible speed, and lands perfectly in his hand.
