Although the Portuguese Liga season has ended, Moreirense's journey is not completely over yet.
They still have one final match left—the Portuguese Cup final.
And their opponent?
The strongest of the three giants in the Portuguese Super League… Porto!
This season, Porto lost Jardel, and the lack of firepower immediately became obvious.
But it wasn't all bad news.
Two years ago, they spent 8 million euros to sign a young midfield talent from Salgueiros—Anderson Luís de Souza.
This year, he finally hit his breakthrough.
He became almost omnipotent in midfield, completely dominating the likes of Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, both giants of the Portuguese Super League, and was awarded Best Midfielder of the league this season.
The player with the ridiculously long name?
His teammates just call him Deco.
Deco might be one of the most successful naturalized players in football history.
Later, when Chinese football experimented with naturalization policies, Deco was often used as a textbook example.
Choosing Portugal over Brazil, he elevated the Portuguese national team significantly.
He filled the void left by Rui Costa's decline and led the team forward in his own way, helping Portugal achieve their best-ever World Cup result.
At his peak, Deco won Portuguese Footballer of the Year and even finished second in the Ballon d'Or.
As for Viana—once hailed by Sporting Lisbon as Portugal's most talented left winger—he returned from injury this season and played in the top flight, but hasn't fully adapted yet and mostly comes off the bench.
So yes… this Porto team is a serious problem.
And speaking of Deco and the World Cup, it's impossible not to mention the upcoming European Championship—the Belgium–Netherlands Euro Cup this summer.
This will be the first time the tournament is jointly hosted by two countries.
National teams across Europe are already finalizing their squads as the club season wraps up.
For many fans, this might be one of the most exciting European Championships ever.
Before Kai's match even started, a bunch of stars had already called him, asking which teams he thought could win it all.
After all, this is the same guy who dared to bet on Croatia reaching the World Cup semi-finals—and who shouted about a "treble" for Manchester United half a year in advance when their situation was still a mess.
Pep Guardiola: "Master—uh, Kai—do you think we can win the championship?"
Kai: "You definitely have a chance."
Guardiola lit up instantly. "Really? That's amazing! Anything I should watch out for?"
Kai: "Yeah… be careful with your diet. It's best to avoid macarons, foie gras, baked snails, baguettes… stuff like that."
Guardiola immediately nodded seriously. "I understand! Junk food is bad for athletes! Thanks, Kai. I'll get my national teammates to send you more signed footballs tomorrow."
He hung up, satisfied, and gave an OK gesture to Raúl beside him.
Kai stared at the phone, speechless.
Yeah… Pep clearly didn't get it.
Macarons and foie gras are French food.
Kai's actual meaning was: avoid France at all costs.
But… yeah. That's easier said than done.
Still, maybe it's better this way for Guardiola.
Meanwhile, David Beckham kept calling Kai like crazy.
Kai didn't pick up once.
In the end, Beckham had no choice but to ask his wife Victoria Beckham to contact Hathaway and figure out what the hell was going on.
After all, Beckham had always supported Kai. So why ghost him now?
Hathaway didn't even bother calling Kai.
Instead, she shyly told Victoria, "Well… Kai not answering David's call—isn't that already an answer?"
Victoria was stunned.
"…That's impossible. This is the England national team we're talking about! Star-studded!"
Still unwilling to give up, she asked, "Then… can you at least ask Kai what's wrong? Why won't he even answer?"
Hathaway thought for a moment before replying carefully:
"Actually, Kai's predictions are just his personal opinion. Everyone asks him because they want a bit of good luck."
"If he says something is good, that's great… but if he says nothing, it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, right?"
That… actually made sense.
Victoria went back and told Beckham that England would have a good result.
Beckham finally managed to sleep peacefully.
But Hathaway knew the truth.
At least from Kai's perspective, England's chances in this Euro were… not great.
Because there was one other person Kai ignored completely—
Lothar Matthäus.
Marlene, Matthäus' partner, got Kai's number from Hathaway (they were all part of the "WAGs circle"), but Kai gave him absolutely zero face.
Matthäus called multiple times.
Not a single answer.
Marlene ended up asking Hathaway what was going on, leaving her in an awkward spot.
So Hathaway went straight to Kai.
And Kai didn't sugarcoat it at all:
"There's a very high chance Germany won't make it out of the group stage this year."
"Since beating the Czech Republic in 1996, they haven't won against a European team in years."
"Their talent pool has declined. Their overall strength has declined."
"Matthäus is already 39, and he's still a starter."
"The present isn't like the future. Players later will focus more on science-based training and nutrition. They can stay at peak level at 35 and still compete near 40."
"But this generation? Either they grew up under poor conditions and their bodies never fully developed, or they never learned proper conditioning. Once they age, they decline fast."
"So Matthäus is basically the benchmark. The older generation's ability has dropped hard—and even then, the younger players can't replace them."
"No chance."
Hathaway obviously couldn't repeat that word-for-word to Marlene—that would be brutal.
So she gave her the same vague answer she gave Victoria.
Because Beckham and Matthäus got the same treatment.
And that only led to one conclusion—
If Germany's situation is that bad…
Then England's probably not much better.
Kai's predictions were ruthless.
Two European powerhouses… and neither making it out of the group?
Damn.
