Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The room was filled with blood splatters while a man swung the hammer violently and then the man looked at the boy who was clearly scared. "You want to die like her? Boy?" The man said and the boy just shook his head covering his face to suppress his voice and cover his view so he could not see the brutality.

The man then rushed to the boy, "Look at the flesh coming out of the head! Isn't it so beautiful? I said, "Look at her!" he said and forced him to look at what he had done with her and he saw her face brutally smashed by the hammer. "Please let me go. I didn't even do anything to you." The boy cried begging from him.

The man was looking at him clearly disgusted and kicked him against the wall and grabbed his shirt. "Hey… This isn't you! My son–Yiu Sen. You used to be a good boy. Obedient. Ruthless… What happened to you?" The man said before attacking him with the same hammer and everything went black.

"... Huh? It was… a dream?" The man woke up sweating in the bed in a white room and he murmured to himself. He was confused by the dream he just woke up from then, "Arul." A female voice called him from downstairs. "Come and get your food from the kitchen." The voice continued. "Coming." He answered and rushed downstairs with his loose clothes which resulted in him tripping on the stairs and falling on the floor.

"What happened?" A woman in an white shirt and black pressed pants came rushing. "Arul! At least walk carefully." She said while helping him get up. "Ugh! Don't worry about me di, watch the omelet or else it will burn." He said and got up and got to the washroom while she quickly turned off the stove.

He washed himself and got out of the washroom then she fed him with her own hand and ran her hands on his hair before rushing out and getting into the car driving away.

He ate breakfast and walked inside his room, closing the door behind.

Meanwhile, she was on her seat while she was on her computer, editing photos of a girl's bodies and the incident tagged as 'Six monsters on the run after raping an innocent girl'. "Hey Mridula. For the last few days I've been thinking about something." A woman came from behind tapping Mridula's shoulder.

"Do you think that so-called childhood friend of yours might be one of them?... you know, the rapist?" She continued making Mridula stand in an instant one inch away from slapping her coworker. "Don't you dare talk anything like that about him!" She coldly answered.

"I'm… just saying… You told me that he was outside that day and came breathing heavily that night?" The coworker replied. "You met him once, didn't you? And you also said Arul is a coward then how could a coward like him take a step this terrible?" Mridula said.

The woman looked away in shame. "If he was that much of a maniac he would've done it with me before!" Mridula continued. "Look. I'm sorry for what I had just said. I know, he's innocent. Lets just investigate the case more or else the boss will say things like, 'Ye ab tak kyu nhi hua?'" She imitated their boss, "Zainab, come to my office now!" the Boss ordered. "See you later." Zainab said before turning away and walking towards a room and Mridula looked at the article she was editing.

Mirdula came to her home that night after work and saw him resting on the sofa. "Arul… Do you know? I like you even though you see me as a sister. I don't want you to find out about it right now." She took a breath, "I will confess it to you one day." She touched his nose and walked into her room. The next day when Arul woke up, "Di?" He called while walking around the house and checked his phone where he saw the message— 'The food will be in the refrigerator, heat it before eating, okay? I will be back in 3 hours.' "Where she would've gone this early? It's Sunday though." He murmured and ate breakfast.

He washed himself and changed his clothes before going out. The sunlight blinded his sight. "Yiu Sen" he heard but when he looked for the source he found nothing. He walked to the nearby store but then he saw some kids kicking a small pup. "Hey! What the hell do you think you kids are doing with it?" He said, scaring them, "Lets get away from this" one of them said and ran away, he also walked away but the pup followed him but he didn't notice it.

He bought a charging cable and walked through an alleyway thinking it was a shortcut.

He walked through the alleyway then at a distance he saw some boys in university uniform surrounding another one. "Hey… We thought you were going to bring us some money so we could buy vape?" One of them said, "But, I told you before I have no money on me right now." the boy said. "Don't give me excuses…" A boy moved and was going to slap him…

"Hey! Don't you think that something you're doing is called bullying?" Arul said from behind. "O Bhai! Go to work or else you'll be going to your workplace in a wheelchair! You don't know me, my father is a MLA." One of them said and pushed Arul away before turning to the boy. "Do you even know what I do?" Arul said before taking out the cable from the packet and choking the boy in front of every one of them. "Do you want to feel the pain of a human while they are dying?" He said while tightening the grip on the cable. "Go away before I kill this guy!" He ordered them before he released the boy and kicked him before leaving him away.

He looked at the cable in his hands, "Now, I have to buy another one. This was expensive though." He sighed. "Sir, thank you so much for saving me!" The boy said, "My name is Nimesh." The boy said, "Bhaiya… Do you really work like that?" He continued.

"No, never." Arul said laughing. "That was just to scare them away. To be honest, I'm just unemployed and living with my friend. You see, this cable is too weak to even make someone unconscious." He broke the cable with ease in front of him. "Oh, I see… Bhaiya! Can I get your number? I always get in trouble from those guys even outside you just saw. But with you by my side I would feel confident." He asked, "Yeah sure?" He said. And took his contact info. "By the way, Bhaiya, what is your name?"

"Arul," he said.

"And this is your dog?" Nimesh asked and pointed near his knee. Arul looked down and saw the pup from earlier, "Looks like it followed me." Arul answered.

"Let me walk you home." Arul said. They walked together and told each other about themselves, Arul even told him about Mridula's quiet obsession over her work. But, Nimesh had no topic other than his daily life of being bullied in his university and whenever he tried to raise his voice the professors, headmaster told him that they were the kids of famous personalities that fund the university. "There's my house." Nimesh said, "Why don't you come in? I live alone and we could have some drinks." Nimesh continued. "I don't drink." Arul said and waved at him while going back to his home with the new friend he got while saving another new friend. And when he reached his home it was already evening and when he walked in he saw Mridula making snacks for him.

"Oh! You're back?" Mridula said but the voice was cold that gave him chills.

"Yes… di" He answered. She told him to sit and gave him a cup of tea to drink.

"So where were you?" She asked but Arul just handed her the pup that followed him the whole day. "Don't think of gifting me something—wait, is this a puppy? So cute…" She said,

"Well it followed me when I saved it from some kids." He answered and they had dinner together before going to sleep.

The next day the news broke on the internet and everywhere was filled with only one topic. 'The grotesque deaths of the Rapists.' When the news channels interviewed the police, they only said it was too brutal but a good thing to happen with those monsters.

The police didn't let anyone see the bodies. But the photos of the bodies went viral on the internet where the heads and other parts of bodies were disassembled and thrown in the farming field with a name written on one of the bodies– 'Yiu Sen'.
