Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

Minnie Pov

Today is Sunday-finally a day to rest. But sadly, I still had to go to the coffee shop and finish my assignment. After freshening up and having breakfast, I sat down to work. Time passed as usual, and soon the assignment was done. Just then, my mom called me for lunch. I went to the dining table and found my favorite meal waiting- chicken fry and biryani. My mom is truly the best chef in the world. After lunch, I returned to my room, watched a series for a while, and then got ready to head to the coffee shop.

I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled-this dress suited me perfectly. Loving myself felt like the best decision I had made. I took a few pictures, posted them on Instagram, and with confidence in my heart, started my scooty and rode toward the coffee shop. 💝

As I enjoy my drive when everything changed in a moment. As I passed a house, A car suddenly came out of the parking lot, and I didn't notice it in time. The car hit my scooty, and I lost my balance, sliding to the right along with it. My right leg got stuck under the scooty, and my hand scraped painfully against the road. My leg and hand burned with pain as I tried to get up, but the scooty was still on me. Someone from the car rushed to help me, and strangers gathered around, lifting the scooty and helping me stand. A woman supported me gently and asked if I was okay. I nodded and said, "I'm okay," even though I wasn't, my leg was aching badly, and I was holding back my tears. A guy took my scooty and parked it safely. When I looked at him, I froze. Our eyes locked again-it was him. I never thought we would meet like this. I quickly looked away, my leg still throbbing. Then I heard him say, "Mom. let's take her inside." I was shocked. The woman supporting me was his mother. I forced a smile and said, "It's okay, aunty. I'm alright. My home is just fifteen minutes away. I can reach there

His Mom: "It's okay, dear. Your leg is completely red, and this happened because of him. He didn't notice while taking the car out of the parking," she said angrily.

Minnie: "No, aunty. It's my fault. I didn't notice the road properly."

His Mom: "Can you walk, dear?"

I tries to walk but winces in pain.

His Mom: "Will, help her inside"

Minnie : I looked at her, trying to say something, but the next second I was shocked-he lifted me in his arms, bridal style, and carried me into the house. My heart started beating wildly, so loud I could hear it myself. He looked at me and smirked before gently placing me on their sofa.

Minnie: "Aunty, I'm okay. I don't want to disturb you, and I think you were about to go out," I said guiltily.

His Dad: "Don't worry, dear. It's our responsibility to take care of you. This happened because of my son."

His Mom: "Will, get me the medical kit."

He brought the kit and handed it to her. I tried to stop her, but she gently ignored me and began cleaning the wounds on my hand. Each time her fingers touched the sore skin, a soft cry slipped from my lips. I bit my lower lip to hold back the pain, tears trembling at the edge of my eyes.

Will: "Mom, you should rest. I'll take care of this."

His Mom:"Uh... okay," she said, passing the cotton to him.

looked at him as he carefully started dressing my wounds. His touch was slow and gentle, as if he was afraid to hurt me, and somehow that made my racing heart calm a little

After finishing my hand, his eyes slowly moved to my ankle. The redness had deepened, and a small bruise was already forming. I tried to pull my leg back, embarrassed by the attention, but he gently stopped me.

"It's swollen," he said quietly, concern clear in his voice. He carefully lifted my foot and rested it on a cushion. The moment his fingers touched my ankle, a sharp pain shot through me, and I hissed softly. He immediately looked up at me, his grip loosening.

"I'm sorry," he murmured, his touch becoming even gentler. He cleaned the wound slowly, as if afraid to hurt me again, wrapping the bandage with careful precision. I could feel the warmth of his hands, steady and reassuring, and somehow the pain felt easier to bear.

When he finished, he looked up and met my eyes. For a brief second, neither of us spoke. Then he said softly, "Try not to put pressure on it."

I nodded, my heart racing-not just from the pain, but from the way he cared.

Author Note

Everyone stood frozen for a long moment, unable to believe what they had just witnessed. Before coming to India, Will had always been cold and distant, never showing this side of himself to anyone. His parents exchanged a quiet glance, a question in their eyes-is that really our son?- before a soft smile appeared on their faces. After carefully treating her wounds, Will packed the medical kit and walked into the kitchen to wash his hands, while his mother sat beside Minnie and gently spoke to her.

Minnie POV

The moment he moved away from me, my emotions slipped out of control. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, but my heart felt heavy. His silent care and gentle touch stayed with me, making it hard to breathe normally. I stared at the floor, afraid my eyes would reveal everything I was feeling, because somewhere between his silence and his kindness, he had already left a mark on my heart.

His mom : "Are you ok now"
