My phone rang.
Mother.
I answered.
"Mama."
"Alex."
Her voice was light.
Calm.
"I'm seeing Tomasz again tomorrow. Dinner at his place."
I exhaled slowly.
"Good."
Silence.
Then she spoke.
"I'm not going to ask about your work. Your money. Your… life."
I waited.
"But I want you to know I'm happy. Really happy. For the first time in a long time."
I stared at the city lights through the office window.
"I'm glad."
She laughed soft.
"You don't sound surprised."
"I'm not."
Another silence.
"I love you, Alex."
"I love you too."
She hung up.
I set the phone down.
Looked at the screen.
No more worry in her voice.
Just contentment.
Kasia walked in.
Closed the door.
Locked it.
She wore the black dress.
No bra.
She crossed to me.
Knelt.
Unzipped me.
I let her.
She took me in her mouth.
Slow.
Deep.
I gripped her hair.
Let her work.
When I finished, she swallowed.
Stood.
Kissed me.
Letting me taste.
