Virgo raced down the highway, his expression stern as he listened to the voice coming through his earpiece.
"I don't care if you have to turn every club upside down!" he hissed. "Find her!"
The moment the order left his gritted teeth, he stepped harder on the accelerator.
It wasn't that he was worried about Lynsandra or Minnie being in danger. Rather, it was the other way around.
Why?
Because Lynsandra had stages of drunkenness.
As long as she drank just enough, there was nothing to worry about. But once she crossed her known threshold? Disaster. She would lose control to the point that even Virgo wouldn't be able to stop her.
"The last time this happened…" he muttered, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. "It took an entire unit to stop her. I hope they just got drunk and passed out somewhere on the street."
That would be better, but his instincts told him he was dreaming.
