Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Akainu: Isn't it just a ship? Watch me destroy it.

"Gyon, let's switch."

Kevin sent Tokikake flying with a single strike.

He swiftly rushed towards Akainu.

Gyon, who had transformed into her Phoenix Form, embodied the phoenix: the front of a Qilin, the back of a deer, the head of a snake, the tail of a fish, the patterns of a dragon, the shell of a turtle, the jaw of a swallow, and the beak of a chicken, all in five colors.

"Kevin, let me do it."

"I also want to experience the strength of an Admiral." Kevin gave Gyon a reassuring look.

On the opposite side, Akainu's eyes twitched violently.

What do you take me for? A tool to train with you?

"Hellhound!"

The magma highly condensed, glowing brightly.

"Boom!"

The downward-chopping blade blocked the magma claws, and powerful air currents caused the surrounding houses to collapse layer by layer.

"He's indeed gotten stronger."

Comparing the previous clash with the current one, Akainu clearly felt that Kevin's strength had increased significantly.

He was even stronger than Gyon after she ate the Mythical Zoan.

"Getting stronger is useless; this is your grave!" Akainu roared, his power gradually increasing.

He pushed Kevin back rapidly.

At the same time, Tokikake stood up again, staring intently at Kevin: "Our battle isn't over yet!"

He charged forward, but was blocked by a scorching sharp edge.

Gyon looked at Tokikake coldly. It was him who had ambushed Kevin earlier while he was defending against Akainu's move.

"Gyon..."

Tokikake's lips twitched. In his rage, he calmed down slightly, looking at Gyon with a complex expression.

"Gyon, if you continue to follow Kevin, you're seeking your own death. He has no future; he will only harm you. Surrender and turn yourself in, and you'll still have a way out."

"Shut up!"

Gyon coldly interrupted Tokikake's nonsense: "Ambushing Kevin demands a price!"

She transformed into her Phoenix Form. The scorching aura baked the ground. She flapped her wings, and sharp wind blades, covering the sky and earth, shot towards Tokikake.

Utilizing the power of wind was also a characteristic of the Mythical Zoan-Phoenix Form.

Previously, Tokikake and Gyon were strong individuals of the same rank. But now, Gyon's combat power far surpassed Tokikake's, and with Tokikake having lost an arm to Kevin, it became a one-sided situation.

The two battlefields affected the entire island.

Towering waves of magma swallowed everything.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Kevin, holding his sword with both hands, continuously swung it, and flying slashes cut through the giant magma, constantly expanding the battlefield.

The dark clouds in the sky swirled.

Only Tyrant Kuma was able to observe the battle up close at this time. Other pirate reporters had long since fled outside the island, watching the apocalyptic battlefield from their ships with wide eyes.

"Kevin is actually that strong, able to fight Akainu to such an extent."

"He's too strong."

"The newspapers say Mr. Kevin is only eighteen years old. Has there ever been anyone in history who could directly contend with an Admiral at eighteen?"

They all shook their heads: "Certainly not. Not even Red-Haired Shanks could do that."

"Boom!"

Kevin was pushed back dozens of meters again before he could steady himself.

He let out a long breath.

"As expected of an Admiral, terrifyingly strong," Kevin said, staring at Akainu with excitement.

It was his first truly satisfying battle since his strength had increased.

Akainu's face was expressionless, but inwardly he couldn't help but complain about Teacher Zephyr.

How could such a monster be expelled from the Navy Recruit Camp? And Fleet Admiral Sengoku, were your eyes blind?

Fortunately, he was still within the range that could be dealt with.

"If I let you grow for a few more years, it would truly be troublesome," Akainu furiously swung his fists.

The stronger Kevin showed himself to be, the stronger Akainu's killing intent became.

He would stop at nothing to keep Kevin here, otherwise, in the future, he would become the Navy's most terrifying enemy.

Kevin continued to compare himself.

Time passed.

After more than an hour of high-intensity combat, Kevin's overcoat had long been torn off, revealing his perfectly sculpted muscular physique.

"That's enough."

Fighting Akainu to this extent was already approaching his limit.

"Gyon, we can leave now."

Kevin looked towards Gyon's side.

Gyon was very relaxed, while Tokikake was in a sorry state, covered in injuries.

"Good."

Gyon unleashed scorching wind blades, forcing Tokikake back, and rapidly flew towards Kevin.

"Trying to leave?"

Admiral Sakazuki spewed out a large amount of magma, covering the ground: "You think you can just leave whenever you want? You can't."

Even if Gyon and Kevin joined forces, Admiral Sakazuki was confident of victory.

It would just require a great price, but no matter the cost, he had to keep them here.

"Rumble!"

The Tomorrow, moving at a steady pace along the magma-filled street, headed towards the battlefield.

"Let's go!"

Kevin and Gyon, joining hands, simultaneously swung their blades in a perfect combined technique, forming a massive sword energy shockwave that repelled Admiral Sakazuki, making him dissipate into a puddle of magma that splattered everywhere.

The two took the opportunity to leap towards the Tomorrow.

They landed on the ship.

The magma slowly reformed into Admiral Sakazuki.

He couldn't help but sneer: "Hahaha, you drove the ship onto land, and now that you're on the ship, you think you can leave? What kind of garbage idea did you learn that from?"

Tokikake came to Admiral Sakazuki's side, also looking at Kevin on the ship with mockery: "The most foolish choice."

"I'm not good at speed. If you were to fly away, I might not be able to stop you, but a ship..." Admiral Sakazuki stretched his neck and slowly walked towards the front of the Tomorrow.

I'm right here.

How can you possibly leave?

"Invading the Holy Land and destroying Enies Lobby, Kevin, your reputation in the sea is not small. Many people consider you a hero, you wouldn't abandon your crew and run away yourself, would you?"

Admiral Sakazuki stood in front of the Tomorrow.

His fist turned into magma: "A ship, I'll destroy it right now for you to see."

His fist slammed towards the Tomorrow.
