At 9 PM, after finishing dinner, Nishi came to her room. She looked around and saw that Neel wasn't in the room. She was somewhat surprised. "Well, he was saying he would never leave, but he left, didn't he? I knew it. No one stays. Everyone leaves me." (Tears rolled down Nishi's eyes.)
Nishi noticed that Neel was standing in front of her. Neel wiped Nishi's tears and said, "Whenever you think of me, I'll come before you. I won't let a single tear from your eyes fall to the ground. I'll fill your life with happiness."
"Is this real or a dream?"
Neel said softly, "A beautiful dream."
Neel picked Nishi up and laid her on the bed. "Will you really sleep here?"
Neel sat near Nishi's head and started stroking her head. "I know you have trouble sleeping every night. You try to sleep by stroking your own head."
"How do you know this?"
"I know everything. From now on, I'll take care of everything for you, Miss Nishi."
Nishi smiled slightly. "When and where will you sleep?"
"Tonight I'll stay awake all night and keep stroking your head. You sleep."
"When I fall asleep, you'll go to sleep. Promise me, then I'll sleep."
Neel held Nishi's hand and promised... "Okay, I'll sleep. First, you sleep."
Nishi closed her eyes...
Neel was stroking Nishi's head and singing softly.
At midnight, Nishi's sleep broke. She saw that Neel was still stroking her head. Seeing Nishi awake, Neel said, "This is why I'm awake, you see, Butterfly. You made me promise, and I absolutely don't break promises."
"You haven't slept yet either, so how can I sleep?"
"Now sleep."
