Anna felt weak with his touch. Soft and wobbly like jello. Like satisfying slime on his hands, he invaded her mouth, prying it open so he could taste her tongue.
Her breath itched and her hands froze. Her whole body suddenly heating up from the warmth of him. Something was stirring in them both. Sullivan was keeping his emotions at bay, taming his instincts and commanding it to not press her against the aisle and roam his hands around her body.
Know what she feels like when she is turned on and molded in his hands. He wasn't questioning her reason for this unprecedented kiss. He didn't mind it. In fact maybe he had wished upon it for so long that God just decided to answer his prayers.
Funny how he only began to believe in God after Anna crashed into this building. This lady isn't good for him and he should be staying away. He sucked on her lower lip and she melted in his hands, leaning her body weight on him as a breathy moan escaped her throat.
The sound went directly to his chest before settling on his cock.
He had stayed away from Anna long enough yet for some fucking weird reason, the universe—the one which is absolutely aware that they didn't belong together—dragged the lady back into his life.
He tasted her tongue, letting himself explore every inch and fuck she's addicting.
She tasted exactly like he had imagined. Like his. Like the part of him he couldn't live without. Like the blanket of death he would gladly wrap around himself.
Anna moved in sync with him even though she had been stiff and surprised at first. Sullivan was bathing in this glory when he heard someone call.
"Anna!" The voice was sharp and sounded almost unbelieving.
Anna tapped at his chest and he let go, their eye contact not lasting up to a second before the lady turned her head to the direction of the voice. "Oh..Gigi hi." She let her hand find his, squeezing tightly as though her life depended on it.
He turned around and found her ex-husband and her sister in law, standing directly opposite them, trolleys filled with all sorts of items.
"Vice Chairman Sullivan!" Gigi sounded like she was having a heart attack and Fary had dropped the packet in his hand out of shock.
The couple stared between the two who had just been caught eating each other's face off in the super market and didn't know what else to say.
Fary especially was shocked. Anna has a strong aversion to Sullivan. She never wanted to be anywhere near him. In fact, she could pick him out in a crowd filled with thousands of people.
Once they had gone for an event filled with hundreds and his ex-wife had stopped by the door, placed a hand to her chest and uncomfortably said. "Vice Chairman Sullivan is here." After which she refused to attend anymore even though she was an important figure leaving him to handle the socializing alone.
Yet, this same woman has been passionately kissing the said man.
Gigi didn't know about Anna's hatred towards Sullivan. She had been shocked when Fary told her Sullivan had suddenly beaten him up after he asked about Anna. She had tried to look into the matter but if Micheal Sullivan doesn't want you knowing his business, then you simply won't.
"Have you….been good?" she stuttered, the events of the last time they saw each other flashing across her mind. If Anna decides to tell Sullivan now that she is fraternizing with the devil, no doubt she would be dead within a second.
Which made her think, does Anna know about Sullivan? Does she know about his instincts and secrets?
Gigi doubted if Sullivan himself was aware she knew about his kind. After all, the manner to which she found out is one that was obscured in a web of secrets.
"Yes!" Anna chirped and Sullivan glanced at her. "You two?"
Fary slowly nodded, still unable to take his eyes off Anna. "You and…"
Anna moved closer to him, her back to the side of his thigh as she giggled. He had wondered why the sudden kiss but seeing these two now, he could understand.
She had been using him for them to know she was with a better man. Except that only Sullivan knows he isn't a better man. Fary might be a dick to her but at least they are of the same kind. Unlike him who couldn't promise her any future.
"You know…" she shrugs and glances up at him with a smile, one he returned. He would play along with her. If this is his way to being in her close books, then he didn't mind. "...things happen."
If it had been anybody else, he would have complained about the way she was gripping his hand but he could take the force. It was nothing to him.
"I didn't know you two were together." Sullivan notes and it was true. He had only focused on Fary after Anna's accident and had never stopped to wonder why he was close with Gigi. He just assumed it was business.
Fary forced a short laughter and scratched his head. "Well…"
Anna didn't let her ex complete his sentence before pulling Sullivan's hand. "Let's go home, I am really tired now." The way she spoke made it sound like they had been living together for a long time which further shocked the other couple.
As Sullivan pulled the shopping cart off and Anna held onto his hand, he knew they were staring and that the woman beside him was still doing her best to keep up the facade.
After he made the payment, they went back to the car and Anna settled in, finally letting out a heavy breath while he watched her try to control her shaky hands.
"Those bastards!" She cursed, surprising him to the core. "THOSE FUCKING BASTARDS!!!" she shouted slamming her hands against the dashboard, her head bobbing with the effect of it. She winced a bit as she pulled at her hair, her expression one of absolute pain.
He had never seen her mad. Or raise her voice. Or lose her cool. Even at that time when she caught him, she didn't scream nor did she start to cry.
"Anna…"
She raised her hand and offered him a wide smile. It was genuinely fake. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have raised my voice. I just couldn't …couldn't hold it in."
He didn't care about that but he didn't dwell on it and simply drove aware she wasn't in the mood to talk about it. And it made sense. No woman would be sane with her husband leaving her for her sister in law.
But the weird part to him was how calmly she handled the situation. Shouldn't humans show their real emotions?
It was as if she didn't want to piss off the couple, while using him as a strong shield at the same time.
Exactly what happened between them three months ago? The one that caused the accident and made Anna refuse to share the details?
He had looked into it but the issue was almost untraceable. The CCTVs had been erased which was why he had guessed it wasn't her ex-husband. He couldn't pull off such a move but he does have an Uncle who could.
But with her behavior, he had a feeling Fary and her sister in law were the main perpetrators.
"Did anything fun happen while I was sleeping beauty?" She jokingly asked just as he turned into the estate that led to his house.
Sullivan didn't want to mention it so quickly because he knew of their taut relationship but now that she was asking... "Your mother came over." She stared at him with her mouth slightly agape. "Several times." He added.
