Chapter 131 - Chapter 131 Something's Not Quite Right

Pakura had not expected that the Magnet Release Ninja who had been traded by the Hidden Sand Village to Iwagakure back then would actually be Kamishiro.

Pakura looked at Kamishiro with a conflicted expression: "So... were you disappointed in the Hidden Sand Village, and thus joined Konoha?"

Kamishiro shook his head: "Pakura, listen to me. That is not the reason for my disappointment, because this was just a plan, a plan by the high-level officials of the Hidden Sand Village. The trade to Iwagakure was fake; the real purpose was to have me intercepted by Konoha and then planted within Konoha as a sleeper agent."

"Uncle Kuto didn't have the brains to come up with a plan like this, so this matter was definitely decided by those high-level officials led by Ebizo. I didn't want to go, but Uncle Kuto didn't give me a chance to refuse. Because I was a Hidden Sand Village Ninja, and I was his clansman, if I wasn't willing, he would throw me into prison."

"You also know that Uncle Kuto is a very tough person. If I didn't agree, it's very likely he really would have thrown me into prison. And you know very well what kind of place that prison is; cannibalism is the norm there."

"As planned, I successfully became a sleeper agent. During that time, I also sent many letters to Uncle Kuto, hoping he would let me go back. I could fight for the Hidden Sand Village; I didn't want to be a sleeper agent."

"But the letters I sent out basically sank into the ocean without a trace; there was no response at all. What else could I do? I could only continue being a sleeper agent."

Obito, Kakashi, and Rin Nohara, who were peeking, felt a wave of guilt.

It was inevitable that they sank without a trace, as they had all been intercepted by them.

Pakura stared blankly at Kamishiro; she hadn't expected that Kamishiro was actually a Konoha sleeper agent.

Kamishiro continued: "Actually, even then, I didn't intend to betray the Hidden Sand Village. Although the psychological pressure was a bit high, being a sleeper agent is just being a sleeper agent. I was still thinking about returning to the Hidden Sand Village after the mission ended and continuing to live my own life holed up in my dilapidated house."

"But after Uncle Kuto went missing, everything changed. I couldn't summon the Shinobi Hawk used for contact, which meant I had completely lost contact with the Hidden Sand Village. But even after completely losing contact, I still thought they would come to contact me."

"I trusted them so much, and never thought they would want to abandon me. But what did I get? What I got was that I had supposedly been turned by Konoha, and that they used my status as Uncle Kuto's clansman to lure him out of the Village, let Konoha Ninja ambush and kill Uncle Kuto, and finally disguised it as the work of Iwagakure."

"Furthermore, they even issued an order: if any Ninja using Magnet Release is discovered among the Konoha Ninja, they are to be killed at all costs."

"Pakura, you tell me, what should I do? Did I betray the Hidden Sand Village? The ones who made me a sleeper agent were them, the ones who said I betrayed them were them, and the ones who want to kill me are also them. What do you think I should do?"

Pakura's mouth moved, but she couldn't say a single word.

Kamishiro walked up to Pakura, stopping just one step away: "Pakura, I am a clansman of Rasa. That guy Rasa is just a despicable and shameless villain. To achieve his goals, he will do anything. In his eyes, there is only profit, nothing else."

"This extremely vicious plan was definitely thought up by him. He became the Kazekage in a time of crisis because of Uncle Kuto's disappearance, so he wanted to divert the internal conflicts of the Hidden Sand Village and secure his position as Kazekage, which is why he wanted to actively start a war. And I was just a sacrificial lamb."

"Chiyo and Ebizo, those two old things, definitely helped devise the plan too. Pakura, on the day Uncle Kuto went missing, do you know who else went missing?"

Pakura shook her head: "I, I don't know. Everyone was desperately searching for the Sandaime, and didn't pay attention to anyone else."

Kamishiro sneered: "They kept it quite a secret. I can tell you, but don't tell anyone else. If that old thing Chiyo finds out, she might target you in advance. That day, besides Uncle Kuto going missing, Chiyo's precious grandson Sasori also went missing."

Pakura was stunned for a moment: "You mean to say... the Sandaime's disappearance was done by that Sasori? But, you weren't in the Hidden Sand Village at that time, how would you know?"

Kamishiro replied: "You don't need to worry about how I know. If you doubt whether what I said is true, it's actually very easy to verify. You just need to do me a favor."

"What favor?"

"You just need to quietly spread the contents on this. When the time comes, you will naturally know whether what I said is true or not."

Kamishiro handed a scroll to Pakura.

Pakura opened the scroll, and upon seeing the contents, her eyes almost popped out: "Is the content inside all true?"

Kamishiro told the truth: "No, most of it is fake, because I want to take revenge on Rasa, Chiyo, and Ebizo. However, the content regarding Sasori is true."

Pakura frowned: "Human Puppet... to actually turn living people into puppets, it's truly too cruel. Does such a puppet really exist?"

Kamishiro immediately started making arrangements for Pakura: "Yes, and the one who killed Uncle Kuto must be Sasori's Human Puppet. Pakura, perhaps those guys like Chiyo will say this is a rumor, but there are traces to follow."

"The most direct way to verify it is, after the contents of this scroll are spread, you should go find Chiyo. But don't ask her directly if it's true, because even I feel some of the content is a bit outrageous. If you ask her directly if it's true, it's very likely to arouse her suspicion. You should just ask her what to do about these rumors, how to handle them."

"Because it involves her grandson Sasori and the matter of Human Puppets, I don't believe she can remain calm. You just need to observe her expression, understand?"

"I understand! Eh?"

Pakura suddenly felt something was wrong. How did she so naturally end up helping Kamishiro spread rumors?

She had clearly just said she was going to break Kamishiro's limbs and bring him back to the Hidden Sand Village.

However, Pakura was willing to trust Kamishiro once.

She had known Kamishiro since he was four years old; it could be said that she watched him grow up.

Therefore, Pakura knew very well what kind of person Kamishiro was.

If it weren't a last resort, Kamishiro would never leave home, nor would he do those troublesome things that were extremely bothersome to him.

Obito, Kakashi, and Rin Nohara, who were hiding and peeking, were also dumbfounded listening to this.

It seems... Kamishiro knows who killed the Third Kazekage.

To turn a living person into a puppet, isn't that too terrifying and cruel?

And this Pakura, her attitude changed really quickly; she believed him after just a few words from Kamishiro.

However, this also just goes to show that the bond between Kamishiro and Pakura is very deep. Even though Kamishiro was rumored to be a heinous sinner who abandoned his family and country, Pakura was still willing to trust Kamishiro.
