"Josh's not home?"
"No, but he will be soon. If he asks me where I was in the morning I don't want to lie" Rebecca stated her desire not to lie to him directly.
"Rebecca?" Alexis suddenly made her classic puppy-doe eyes just so she can plead her best friend not to give her away.
But it worked completely in the opposite way. "What's wrong about letting him know? Aren't you going to stay here at least for a week?"
"Maybe longer. Depending on the situation. But I don't want to make a crowd of people know about it yet," Alexis shrugged.
"Joshua isn't big enough to call him a crowd unless you want to count his shouting," Rebecca rolled her eyes. "Tell me the actual reason."
"There's none?" she puckered her lower lips in response.
"Okay, whatever."
Rebecca finally gave up on it and decided to let Alexis unpack her stuff inside her apartment for the 'nth time' like she mentioned.
