Chapter 1 - Faithful Collision

Seoul's bustling streets were alive with activity as Yoon Ah-Rim carefully pushed her flower cart through the crowded marketplace. Her eyes sparkled as she arranged a fresh batch of roses – a symbol of love and gratitude in Korean culture.

Just as she was finishing up, a black luxury car screeched to a halt beside her, and the driver's door swung open. A suited man stepped out, distracted by his phone call.

Before Ah-Rim could react, the man collided with her cart, sending flowers and vases crashing to the ground. Her heart sank as she gazed at the mess.

The man turned to face her, phone still in hand. His piercing gaze locked onto hers, and he frowned.

"Watch where you're going," he barked in Korean.

Ah-Rim's eyes widened, and she retorted, "You're the one who ran into me!

The man's expression turned cold.

"I'm late for a meeting. Clean this up quickly so I can leave."

Ah-Rim's anger flared.

"You should help me clean this up! It's your fault my flowers are ruined."

The man sighed heavily and hung up his phone call.

Fine. I'll help. But make it fast.

As they bent down to gather the broken vases and flowers, their hands touched briefly. Ah-Rim felt a spark of electricity run through her body.

Once they finished, the man pulled out his wallet and handed her 50,000 won.

This should cover the damages.

Ah-Rim took the money reluctantly, feeling a mix of emotions: anger towards this stranger's careless behavior, yet gratitude for his compensation.

What's your name? she asked softly.

Cha Do-Hyun, he replied curtly before turning to leave.

Wait, Ah-Rim called out. You forgot your phone.

Do-Hyun turned back, and their eyes met once more. Ah-Rim felt that spark again.

Thanks, he said, taking his phone from her hand. Their fingers touched briefly once more.
