Jordan and Isabella finally reached the massive ruined skyscraper.
The building towered above them like a carcass picked clean by time and violence. Entire sections of its upper structure were missing, jagged concrete exposed like broken ribs. Black crystalline veins pulsed faintly along its surface, crawling over shattered walls.
The entrance had partially collapsed.
Massive steel doors hung twisted and broken from their hinges. Concrete slabs leaned inward at dangerous angles, yet a gap wide enough for two people to walk through remained.
Isabella studied it briefly.
"Looks like this is the only way forward," she said.
Jordan nodded.
"Yeah… looks like it is. We'll have to enter from here."
Without hesitation, Isabella stepped through the broken entrance.
Jordan followed closely behind.

The air changed instantly.
It was colder.
