Feyra took out her sword and held it ready. Shiba did the same with his rapier.
The two of them got soaked, the umbrellas lying on a cart that hadn't been pushed over.
The black figure just swished with their staff once and the black beasts leapt forward, trying to reach Feyra and Shiba.
Shiba defended them, creating a sand barrier around them that would shred any enemy that came near it.
Yet, these black beasts still managed to get through and tried to bite Feyra's arm. She slashed at it, severing its head.
"You want to get to us? You have to get past me... And... Don't you dare bite my clothes!"
"I agree. I wouldn't want my suit to be dirty or have even more holes," Shiba said, using his powers to also stab one of the black creatures.
They disappeared for a while before they materialized again, trying to bite and grab Feyra and Shiba.
