Hex POV
Carlos's voice suddenly came through the communicator.
"Hex! That override signal is coming from the warehouse floor!"
"So Kaiser's nearby," I said.
"Exactly."
I looked at Jay.
She already knew.
Keifer stepped forward.
"I'll find him."
Jay nodded once.
"Go."
Keifer turned and walked out of the control booth.
Felix followed immediately.
"Oh good. Boss fight."
Ci-N and Yuri went with them.
I sat down at the control console beside Jay.
"You good with bomb wiring?" she asked.
I shrugged.
"How hard can it be?"
The timer flashed.

Jay gave me a look.
"Very."
Outside the booth the sounds of fighting exploded across the warehouse.
The final battle had started.
And somewhere in the chaos…
Kaiser was waiting.
Smiling.
